I'm too excited, I just have to share! As of 4:30pm this afternoon I am now officially a home-owner:D:D:D I finished signing the closing documents and I have the keys in my hand.

Needless to say I am super excited to have a place of my very own, but to top it all off, it has a view of the mountain tops and several of my favorite riding areas as well as Mt. Adams and Rainier:cool:

Stick built 1700 Sq. ft. house built in 1990 with oak cabinets, new tile counters, new tile/wood/carpet floors, new plumbing and lighting fixtures, door hardware, etc and a 2-car garage for the toys! Looks almost brand new inside:cool:

nice house

what did it cost, welcome 2 the club, I just bought my first house last sept., at the ripe old age of 38, my wife was very happy, I let her pick it out 100%, I was out of state fighting fire, so she got the house she wanted. personally i would live in a house built of railroad ties and park my $50, 000 vehicle and $50k in toys around it, but thats me. hard to stay married with that attitude, i'm already on my 2nd Doe... i HAVE AIDS... AVIATION INDUCED DIVORCE SYNDROME..
GOOD LUCK TO YOU

Ok someone is gotta ask......where's the GARAGE pics?? Carbides are gonna make a mess outa the wood floors! ( don't try at home esp your own )

Thanks, If it ever gets sunny and clear out I will take some more... it's been unusually cloudy here lately:face-icon-small-fro

Awesome, congrats I hope you got a killer deal

Well, I paid:

Less than appraised value
Less than assessed value
Less than the full asking price
and much less than the new houses they are building a few blocks away are going for....

I paid $170,000 and with the condition of the home with all the updates it has I think I got a good deal and can't wait to get all moved in. It looks almost brand new inside:D

Congrats!

I will never forget the excitement of those last few days waiting for the keys to my first home and MORE IMPORTANTLY MY FIRST GARAGE!!!! :):):)

Hard to believe that's almost 20 years ago. A lot to be said for buying a house while you are young....

Congrats

I bought my first house at 26. I still live in it now at 35. With a family in the future I am thinking I have to upsize but it seems almost unattainable unless I build it myself. After working on my buddies house size addition that doesn't really seem all that fun right now. Congrats on your new home! I love being a homeowner. Plus, you are virtually guaranteed to never be bored now.

Congratulations on your first home! You'll enjoy personalizing it to meet your needs/wants. Your "To-Do" list will never end, but it's all satisfying in the end. Beer in your garage and on the patio will even taste better!

Do you have room to park your enclosed trailer along side of the garage?

Congratulations!! Welcome to the club where you have a never ending supply of things to fix, paint, repair, and clean!! And don't forget that you'll be working your a$$ off for many years to come to pay for it!!! It's all worth it though because it's YOURS!!!! I hope you the best!!
