jlowe is goin' in the shop...

I would like to go on record by stating i had absolutely nothing to do with Jlowe's current injury!!!! ;-)

Come on Allen, you know this is your fault. Poor Aiello is down for a few weeks now because of you. How are you going to make this up to his family and Jill??? :)

I had the same surgery, well similar anyway (C-4,5), but the doc went in through the front of my neck to lessen the damage to the muscles in the back.

I see you're planning on being on the sled in january?
You truly are Superman if you can pull that off!
My surgery was in Sept. and I was scared Sh__less to even put the weight of a helmet on my head for 4 months
But my right arm works fairly normal now at least!

Best of luck to you Jlowe.
DON'T PUSH YOURSELF TOO HARD

And for god sake...Use a lot of stool softener. NOT LAXATIVES.
If you just use the Laxatives without the softeners you'll blow the rest of your back out trying to literally chit a brick:eek:

Been watchin' for that limited release, autographed video....:D

Yeah! Knock it off Allen and AO! Have some respect!

Sorry about those guys Jeff, I'l have a talk with them:devil:

You know, when I think I am having a rough day..I just come on here and read this stuff..who needs the comedy channel..:D:D

Carry on!!:beer;:beer;

thanks lance...hey bud...with everything going on with my neck (since literally the day i got back from the seattle show) i forgot to call hatcher. i called him just now and left a message. i have your info in my phone and will give it to him tonight...so sorry about that one bud. and thanks for the advice on the 'other' stuff. i'm already ahead of you on that one bud. actually having a bit of a setback today. the arm pain returned along with the numbness. i'm pretty bummed to be honest but need to wait until all the swelling goes down i guess. did you have the hardware and a fusion done?

jeff

Allen, let me know when you head to Clovis. A.J. might need some help around the house:p

Don't sweat the vid Bud. Just givin' you a hard time!:D

I had fusion done with donor bone, no other hardware thank god.
I also had some flaring up of the pain and numbness for a month or two afterward.
Seemed like every time I got tense or stressed out my neck would swell more and create pressure on the nerve.

Showering with the brace on is a pain to isn't it!
And then taking the wet brace off with one hand and holding your chin with the other always made me a little nervous that I was going to sneeze or cough and my head would tip over or something!

From what AO says about your MRI it sounds like you had some serious damage to your neck, more than he is used to seeing.
Dont rule out the possibility that you might have to have a second surgery but do some searching first and find the top guy in the field to do it.
I know it's a long ways from home for you but I can recommend an outstanding team of neurosurgeons here in Washington if you can't find the best guy there near your home.
I have absolute faith in these guys here.
Two fusions for me. One neck and one lower back. Excellent results both times...Same surgeon.

I hope your recovery is complete and quick.
I also hope you don't get too dependant on the pain meds either because that was a whole other crappy issue altogether! Beware!

Cheer up and keep your chin up!

Oh wait....the brace !:D

Hey Jeff,

I heard you were gettin tuned up, sorry to hear it's this time of year. Get better man!

Take it easy!....If ya can't take it easy....take it any way ya can.....LOL

thanks tony! i'm trying like heck to heal up and get up there with you guys. the snow is a little slow in coming this year so i'm not as anxious right now as i should be. thanks for the well wishes!

hey lance...i talked to hatcher last week. that vid should be showin' up anytime now.

jeff

The Vid was waiting for me when I got back from the Beach yesterday.
(BTW the Washington coast is not generally thought to be a great Thanksgiving getaway for a good reason)

I'm sure that the value of the video has increased substantially with the most talented rider from your clans' autograph on it!

I mean, Anybody can climb a shear ice wall and just let go of their sled to watch it go crashing down, over the rocks.
(Shamelessly reaching out for attention)

Pretty much anyone can Huck themselves over a cornice while a camera's on them but how many will take one for the team without the camera rolling and get their shoulder ripped out by an envyous rider whos worried about being shown up by Hatcher and his extensive talent and God given gift just hours before they get on the snow?

I'll guard this video with my life!:D

I think his riding style and my own are very comparable, I do believe I could hang with him and probably learn a thing or two!

(And please tell Paul thanks!)

Mend Up Jeff.
