Jackson Hole Amsoil Snocross possibly cancelled?

Does anyone have any info more on this? I read that the Amsoil Snocross that was scheduled for December 8th and 9th was voted down due to a city noise ordnance and too much partying from the snowmobile crowd.

I figured the town would be more supportive of events like this. They are making it sound more dramatic then it will really be. None of the other SnoX venues seem to have the issues Jackson THINKS it will have.

Yes West Yellowstone would be a great option as well, they have the perfect spot west of town for it and plenty of lodging.

Agreed! They used to have the top Snocross guys in West the weekend of the Expo and when they stopped coming it seemed to kill the Expo. I think West would be a great location for it!

^ This coupled with poor late season snow! They need to make it happen again and move the Expo to earlier in the season. Get the manufacturers to "unveil" their sleds to the public there Feb 1st!

Typical crap that you continue to see around the country. Why bother with the re-vote, I'm sure they could find another community that would host the event and I agree West Yellowstone would be a great place to start. Walk into the re-vote.................we're out and mic drop.

E-mail the county before the revote

Based on the article, it sounds like Hailey Morton Levinson will be the swing vote and she is still undecided. I will for sure go if they have it and I am going to let her know by emailing her. I think others should email her and let her know that this is a good event that will be good for the town, people and our sport.
