Jackets for cold cold riding...

Sooo currently I use a Parka I got from Mark Workwarehouse, it's a thick canvass outter with a polyester inner and down fill, it's normally really good, or suits my needs rather, I've been out in -40 without windchill with only minimal dicomfort around my goggle and fingers... so it does the job, but U think the down is settling and well is is 2 or 3 years old and it's nor really designed for snowmobiling. I stood out side waiting for a bus once for 3 hours in -35, plus whatever windchill and I was fine.. ok my legs were super numb.. but my core and head were fine.

So the question is should I get another one of the same (about $150CAD), or should I look for other stuff? I am considering a choko Adventurer, or Xtreme touring, maybe even the cfr bear. not sure about the Xtreme, but the others are in the $100-$150 range.

Somebody told me choko is one of the warmest jackets, and while calling around to another choko dealer to check their stock I was told, there are warmer.

My wife has a 2 yr old Choko Trail Bear, it's a little warmer than my Canvas thing.. or so it seems off sled anyhow.

So keeping in a lower price range ($200 CAD tops) anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Oh and if it matters I mainly do ditch banging and trail riding. and I go out any temp down to -40.

Klim Klimate.....look on ebay for a deal. I got mine for 150ish and its great for cold cold weather...I wear it all the time.

Mule.. tekvest? have you facebook stalked me? My tekvest is for paintball.. hardly warm :P

Get good quality base layer, and Klim or HMK coat - not jacket. Jackets ride up your back and you get cold!! Klimate parka is nice and there are good deals out there!

I have the Klim Tomahawk Jacket, http://www.firstplaceparts.com/3271.html
I love it.
Klim base layer and a micro fleece mid layer and I'm toasty all year long. On very cold days I just wear a thicker mid layer.
I have not gotten wet once since I've been wearing Kilm gear. I'm a big fan!
