We have to go pick up our shipment of Tamiflu for the pharmacy at an undisclosed meeting area and have to be escorted by the Sheriff....GAY! And, it sounds like there will be more restrictions/paper trail for this med than there is on the schedule II meds like cocaine, morphine, ect...

Im shooting some polyuretane paint (automotive type stuff) this weekend and my old respirator is cracked. I can only imagine the looks Im going to get today buying a new one....IS THIS FOR SWINE FLU?

Whooooo, Glad Ya had my back on that one!
Here is a thought, Last year I was nosing around on some "Islam Will Rule The World" web sites & this guy was asking what it would take to ruin the U.S. doller? He had ideas of anthrax & the such on the U.S. paper money getting passed around. He was thinking it would devalue the doller in a way like no other. WTF would I do if I had cash & no one wanted it?

True Ollie, Not thinking of the job market, but the welfare market. Vaccines are available here, or will be. If this does turn into something other than a media frenzy. Egypt killed a large number of their swine.
And other countries have banned Mexican pork products. Thing is that this virus has a small genetice makup of the swine and also humans. Really it could be called the human flu, for all that matters. But the bookings for Mexican Travel are down by 50% in an already tough economy.Right on girl! When the right hand is doing one thing, always check what the left hand is doing!
I always think it's funny when they show the people who are wearing masks over their mouth and their nose is exposed over the top of the mask.
^^^Well, I'm not a girl, but I'm not too concerned about that. What does concern me is that most of the stuff in my post has already occurred and I only made the post a day or two ago! Hearings started today to kick off the new illegal alien amnesty bill (I guess we need MORE workers in the country because 13,000,000 unemployed isn't enough.) The rhetoric about the NECESSITY of socialized medicine is definitely ramping up, so what the "stimulus" bill didn't already accomplish toward the goal of government controlled health care will probably be revealed soon. H.R. 980 is rolling along in the background, off of the media's radar, and the unexpected "rabbit out of the hat" is going to be Obama's nominee for Supreme Court Justice. He wants someone with "empathy." ?? He never even mentioned the trait that I look for in a SCOTUS Justice: A willingness to uphold the Constitution! I can't wait to see the clown that he comes up with.
Government BS plain and simple. Swine flu is just a distraction. any one thats been in the military knows that uncle Sam does whatever he wants or what ever he thinks the people of the US wants to here and see.
You're right about that, I'm sure the current administration said "Oh thank God it's the flue season". So It would distract from the flurry of bad financial decisions that they have recently made.
But since you mentioned the flue.
Don't you find it a little peculuar that the general public intermingles in Walmart, Target, Malls, Airports, etc., all winter long, and all we get is mesely colds. Then, like someone turns on a switch; We have a massive outbreak of flue virus, (Nationwide).
This happens every year, and it is alwayse in the designated flue season, and it always happens overnight.
Hmmmmm.
Anybody else find this just a teenie weenie bit odd?

I still think it is just a case of oppertunety.
it's a good case to show the outstanding leadership from washington. Now the fact it's been blown out of proporsion doesn't mean a thing.
