It's always sunny in Island Park - pics today

Actually, not really. It's always cloudy. We just caught it on a good day. We didn't ride IP at all last year because the snow sucked so bad. But this year is a different story so far. Excellent base with powder on top. Not many tracks. Of course, it's only Dec 17th.

We rode the southeast face of Sawtelle, just making our own way up. Didn't see anybody aside from 10 head of elk. I think one of them sneaked up and knocked my helmet and goggles off my sled and into the snow while we were pulling another sled out of a tree.

sweeeeet pics. the pics came out awsome. just wondering, but does only one of you guys carry avalanche gear? thinking maybe i should lighten my load and not carry that type of ****.. just take the important stuff like whiskey and weed.

When I was there about 8 years ago you guys had a wicked ice sculpture/wall-like thing in the backyard.....you should take a pic or two of that, If I recall Dean said it formed every year? Not to mention the shop and pumps outside....impressive alone.
And I can vouch for always overcast....for a whole week in March I was there it was nice enough to ride up top and hit a few chutes only one day. But I love them trees!!! And that damned creek I just couldn't get enough of jumping back and forth over.....good times good times.

I thought the same thing, but my HMK carries doobies and a flask. Sweet shots, had to get yourself into a couple tricky spots for those shots. I will just assume everyone was wearing a beacon
