Is this Wildcard?

Hi I am Wildcard's cousin. I want to thank all of you for your comments and thoughts about Brian. First I want to say in response to one comment about him deserving this... NO One deserved this less than Brian, he gave his life doing what he had done all his life, defending someone else. From what we have learned from the police and the daughter of Jessie, Brian was defending her from her mother. Brian was like lot's if us, he fell for the wrong women but he loved with his whole heart. He still didn't deserve to die this way. Brian had given Jessie and her daughter a place to live and he cared for them, Jessie had some problems but Brian didn't want to see her daughter on the street. There was an argument that night and she went to the barn to get the gun. She returned and fired one shot in the air, here is where it gets a little fuzzy, the daughter said the mother was going to shoot her when Brian got in the way and was shot in the arm. They fought over the gun and it went off, hitting Brian in the chest. Then after seeing what she had done she sat down and shot herself in the head. The poor little girl had to witness this whole thing. The saddest part of this is that the only family the girl has left is her grandparents and they aren't suitable to raise her so she is now a ward of the court and in foster care.

Brian was a wonderful, loving, caring person who gave to others without asking for anything in return. He had strong opinions and wasn't afraid to express them. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Yes there were disappointments in his life and the one big regret was that he didn't have the kind of relationship with his own daughter and grandchildren that he wanted but that was due to his ex (she took his daughter away and he couldn't find her for years) and not him. My daughter was his age and they were very close, more like brother and sister than 2nd cousins. They talked about everything and she is going to miss him more than anyone.

I am sorry for the long post but wanted to say thank you for the kind words and to let you all know yes it was the wildcard you knew.

Thanks - Crazytazshedevil

Thank you for posting.
I've known Wildcard on here for about 8 years. It's always a shock to hear this kind of news about someone you've known.

I read this post with great sadness. I never met Wildcard in person but read many of his posts, some made you laugh out loud and some made you really think. A genuine tragedy for all involved. Men like Wildcard are a rare breed, they live life large, unfortunately they never seem to get old and gray like the rest of us, the brightest lights burn up the fastest. Wildcard was the perfect name for the man. Go with God Wildcard, I'll miss you.

only the good go young.. and we have seen it here AGAIN

RIP

He died on September 9th, not June 9th as per the news brief in the Homer newspaper from the link on the first post of this thread.
The obit does say he died on June 9th which was also his birthday.

Spud found it much earlier - but yes - we got it...

Ox, I don't quite know what you mean by that...but it doesn't sound very good. Whether he chose to "write off women" or not shouldn't mean that it's fitting one of the bad ones killed him.

Yes - well it seems lots of folks like to read something into nothing time and time aggin. So go ahead and pick it apart all yuh want.

Ox, Spud didn't clarify anything, he just cut and paste the incorrect typo out the of the obit.

Sorry if I mistook that what you typed sounded like you were saying it was fitting she killed him. YOU typed it.

I want to thank all of you for your kind thoughts and words. I will pass them on to the family. Brian touched a lot of lives and will be missed.

is there anything we can do to help the daughter? set up some money for a school fund or something?

Have an employee that had this same type of thing happen, and our company stepped in and helped...I know Snowest well enough, am sure we can do something, lots of creative people on here!!

Please let the Daughter know she is in our prayers, and will be

That's a great idea. What can we do?

I know we will miss him...I will specially miss the pics he would post.

As for who ever said he deserved this...they are not part of the majority here and should be ashamed of even posting that. I didnt go back and read the whole thing but they know who they are.

Well said Himark, Wildcard was a good snowester! Unfortuantely, snowest is how most of us knew him. I am sorry for your loss!!!!

On a lighter note, I was staying at a hotel during a convention last Feburary in Des Moines, Iowa. I saw a very large black man enter the lobby, he had a black leather Jacket on. On the back of the Jacket was a torso sized print of the Joker card and it said wildcard above it. I had my carmera with me and wanted to take a picture to post on the 4M for the Snowest Wildcard but I didn't for fear I would aggitate the large man. Sorry wildcard I should have sacked up! Peace to all!
