Is this Wildcard?

Holy crap! I met Wildcard, Brian Howard, and from the Kenai AK, back at the Snowest 4M ride in Island Park,ID, 2003.

He would be about that age. I think I remember he had a daughter (don't rmbr age) at that time, but he was divorced, I think.
I have home video from one of the parties at IP, with him and some others talking about sledding.

If this report isn't our "Wildcard", it sure is a strange coincidence. :(

I "google searched" and found this little bit of additional information on the Anchorage Daily News site.

".........It appears the boyfriend and girlfriend had been in an argument before Otton pulled a gun and shot Howard, troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said. She then turned the gun on herself, Peters said.............."

Anyone else on this forum have any more details?

If this is Wildcard (and we don't know that for sure) wouldn't it be ironic that he was doing underwater demolition and defuseing bombs in the middle east, and lose his life this way? :(

An East End Road couple were killed Monday night in an apparent homicide-suicide.
Alaska State Troopers allege Jessie Otton, 40, and her boyfriend, Brian Howard, 44, got in an argument and that Otton shot Howard in the arm with a .45 semiautomatic handgun and struggled with him, causing the gun to go off and shooting him in the chest. Otton then shot herself in the head, said Sgt. Thomas Dunn, head of the Anchor Point Post.
Otton and Howard, both of Homer, died at the scene at Howard's home near Mile 13 East End Road past McNeil Canyon. Homer Volunteer Fire Department emergency medical technicians responded but did not treat the victims. The bodies were taken to the Alaska State Medical Examiner's office in Anchorage for autopsies, troopers said.
Troopers received a 911 call about 8:17 p.m. by the woman's 13-year-old daughter, Dunn said. The girl witnessed the shooting.
"She was very brave and very strong," Dunn said of the girl. "She's doing well considering, but obviously it's a traumatic situation."
The girl's father had died earlier, but she has other family in Alaska. The Office of Children's Services took care of the girl until her family could come to Homer for her, Dunn said.
Troopers interviewed the girl. Dunn said her account of what happened was consistent with evidence troopers saw. Troopers said they suspect alcohol might have been involved.

I believe wildcard posted of living on east end road and posting pics of his place.think he also spoke bitterly of a relationship that ended while living on hawaii doing demolition work.Sad time indeed if it's Brian.

Valley Girl, Highmark, Doug, Papa Highmark, Poodle Polisher...I think they all hung out with him at the forum rides back about 5-7 years ago.
