Is there any good way to get to Sugarloaf/Miners Ridge??

Can anyone tell me a good way to get to the Sugarloaf area? I usually leave from the Plain/Fish Lake area but the trail (road 9) is now just too bare.

Hopefully there is another way to get up there.

I am going to talk to the ranger later today to see if it's OK to drive past the Eagle Creek snopark.

You can get in from Maverick Saddle (road 5200 I believe) and from the Ardenvoir side.

I'm trying to figure out how to get up there now that the snow level is so high.

its been a couple of years and it may be overgrown by now..but if you can get up to the 8c trail theres an unmarked road about 3/4 the way up that cuts back and up. Go to the end of it and head straight up the hill and it ends up right at the miners ridge loop. The first part is pretty steep but its easy after that. If you look at the trail map I beleive it's near that hairpin turn.
