Is there any demand for Apex's?

Is there any demand for Apex's (boosted or natural)? The ones I see on the Swap stay there FOREVER, even the one at a low price. Is there even a price low enough to sell one? Do any mods help sell these burly beasts?

I had a beast of a time selling my Apex last year. I think they are probably one of the most reliable sleds out there, but the size and weight makes them undesireable. Also, the Nytro has hurt resale as those are more desireable (IMO).

As far as mods, they are great boosted, but I still don't people are getting their money back when they go to sell. I think in a way, people get scared buying a used boosted or modded sled becuase there is always a question of whether or not it runs right.

Just my .02

Hmm

Sadly it does't appear that the Apex has much of a market anymore. In the 3 years I have ridden mine I have maybe seen 1 other Apex in the wild (they are rare like the Sasquatch). I know they sit on Craigslist for quite some time. Fine by me though, if I ever wreck mine I can get a parts sled cheap :)

Honestly though, mine is stock and is a riot to run around in the swamps.

If I built another new sled, I'd probably build another Apex, I love the way they ride and handle. I hope Yamaha rebuilds it this season but keeps similar rider positioning, maybe a tiny bit forward. Dont like the Nytro, too far forward for me.

I don't know if there is a market or not, but after what I saw last week there should be.

Had a chance to ride with a handful of world class hill climbers. Had a really fun ride. We stopped for lunch and watched them pull some wicked stuff on their D8's and M8's. All were turbo'd. These guys were pulling some wicked lines up some steep hills that were heavily treed. I'm not talking chute climbing, I mean extreme technical riding. I didn't think it could get any better. After watching them for about 30 minutes a guy I don't know starts up his turbo'd Apex and proceeds to put on a show I would have thought was impossible. Not only did he carve that sled up and down and across and around he did it all the way to the top of the mountain, something the 2 strokes could not do. He came down from his first pull looked things over and pulled 2 more lines that took everyone's breath away. Not only did it look cool, it sounded awesome, and he did it effortlessly.

I have been thinking since then that the Apex was a sled very few guys have the ability, talent or skill to ride. When in the hands of the right rider this sled is years beyond the other brands in capability. I just don't think there are enough good riders out there to appreciate what this sled can do.

I rode an Apex for two seasons. I loved the sled...sometimes. I just didn't have enough leverage, strength or ability to make the sled do what I wanted. But, I wonder what it would be like to ride 280hp. The problem is I don't want to pick up a sled that I can't sell.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have had the chance to ride a bunch of different sleds over the years and I still love my Apex the best. A few guys are selling there Nytro's and going back to Apex's. When I built my Apex last year I had the choice to build a Nytro or a Apex and it was hands down the Apex for me.:D

I don't really like the Nytro. I've ridden several different Nytro setups (Stock to Boosted) and each time I was more than ready to return to my Apex. I thought the Apex was more agile and maneuverable. Did you see that! I said agile, maneuverable and Apex in the same sentence! I might get kick off this forum for saying such things. :D

I feel the same way. I guess its the sled we are used too, I can do things on my Apex that I cant do on my buddies sleds. In the near future I would like to pick up a turbo Apex, I couldn't imagine the grin I would have with double the horsepower! I do like the M series as well they seem to handle similar to the Apex only lighter but similar riding position.
