Is there a recall on that DD bearing?

I have heard a couple of different stories. I called Racin' Station and Erick said there was not a recall on any DD bearing. Some other friends said there was and that Wilson's AC was fixing them.

Anyone know the straight deal?

If this is something I have to do myself would someone post some pics or part numbers etc. to get me on the right track.

I have plenty of time, we have three feet of cold and not a flake of that white stuff somebody was calling snow or something like that.

Thanks in advance for the help.

there is no "official recall" our group as consumers, with the help of a great consumer forum, have found an issue. and we are addressing it before it becomes an issue.

as the saying goes, you can pay alittle now, or alot later.

if your sled is under warantee, and you have many miles on it, you may want to either look into it yourself with preventative maintainence, or at least an oil change for the dd as recomended by cat and bdx. or just remove the cover, and gear, verify the bearing is viable or not, and clean the DD, and change the oil. while you are there for 5 minutes and 15.00, there is a fix.

some dealers know and will help with this others do not. if the sled is under warrantee, and the bearing is failed, they owe to fix it as long as you kept up your maintainence. hope this helps, good luck.

there is a step by step instruction tutorial in the DD thread on this very forum. it is very helpfull. i am a first time cat owner, never ever saw a DD case before, and i was able to change my own berarings on both my new 09 M8's before i ever rolled the track over. ski

there should be a recall on all the 07 and up diamond drives, if something is gauranteed to break it should have never been used!!! or they should be willing to replace it every time one fails. i mean come on peeps loosing them all the time with less than 1k on them... the ticking time bomb that is my diamond drive!!!!!!!
