Is there a quick and dirty fix for goggles

Is there a quick and dirty fix for goggles where the foam over a vent has broken out? My first generation 509 sinisters lost the bottom foam yesterday and they filled the inside with powder snow. I was wondering if I could glue something over the opening. Anybody with experience?

X2 sorta

Throw them away and buy some Oakleys

X2 Throw em out, I'm with ya on this all except the OAKLEY part! Buy whatever fits your face and the helmet, Scott makes some good frames and pretty much any other company that ya pick up!

Throw them away and buy some Oakleys

I rode with Oakley O frames before these (and I thought they were good goggles), I have really liked my 509's but there is such a good deal on Scott 89xi's at Rocky Mountain ATV right now I'm thinking of switching. I have a couple of new lenses for the 509's and I'd like to get at least one more season out of them.

I thought about 0007's advice, and used gorilla glue to attach a small piece of foam to them. I used some packing foam that came around a hard drive and cut it as thin as I could get it. I have used them on 3 rides and they seem to be working well, no issue with snow blowing in.

I love my Scott 89xi's, never have had an issue with them fogging. I don't have any experience with any of the other goggle brands for sledding goggles, but I do know the frame on the 89xi is fairly large (compared to what I'm used to for dirtbike and quad) and could imagine they could have some issues fitting into some helmets. I had to trim the nose air deflector on my goggles to get them to fit into my helmet, now they fit great into my Fly carbon F2 helmet.
