You could detour on US 40 from SLC thru Steamboat/ Rabbit Ears pass. 19" new in last 48 hours http://www.steamboat.com/# or hit it on the way back to Tahoe.
For you guys saying South, were's a person supposed to ride and stay alive?
Haven't seen much of Wolf Creek, but what i have there's not much for meadows.
I'd feel safe between Creede and Lake City, but don't know what they got for snow.
Haven't heard much about Grand Mesa snow, but Powderhorn didn't get much.

Oh yeah! We just arrived in Steamboat 30 minutes ago.
No snow in Lake Tahoe. 1st time here.
Anyone riding tomorrow? Val (GF) and I have never been here before. We need to buy permits in the morning and then heading out. We ride trees, drainages, typical non trail, non chute, non highmarking boondockers.
Both on Pros, would rather poke in the trees and get stuck, forced to do uturns then ride trails-- hammered or not.
Beacon, probe, shovel, airbag equipped.
Just looking for someone, anyone?, who knows the terrain and enjoys riding more than BS'ing.

Rode Buff Pass today. Really fun. Tree pockets were good. Never went very far back but found all sorts of fun hits, step ups, walls to sidehill.
Val stuck after she got a little ambitious on a sidehill.
