Looking at 2 track options for my nytro that I'm doing up. I have a stock 2010 162(not sure if they are 162 or 163??) as my first option. Heard from a buddy they are garbage and don't hold up to boost at all. Are they a single ply, and will it hold up to boost. 2nd option is a 15 wide challenger extreme track. I've got a challenger extreme on my nytro already, leaning towards the maverick for nytro(had lots of mavericks and don't mind them) just want to make sure I'm not going to have problems. thanx for any info.

but they are better then the old nytro tracks.

I ran the stock track for half of the first seson, then put a CE under it. HUGE difference everywhere! It (stocker) worked much better than my buddys stock 153. The lugs had already started to "fold" over themselves. I wouldnt recommend it.

Oh ya, I was n/a also..

Didn't doubt, ya. Just needed that many more peoples opinions when I go to Myles and dont' have to have a debate over which track.lol it's settled

Ya , Myles needs to drive one with the CE , he does not think there is any differents , just ask Jay what he thinks about my CE174 3 inch , should not be a debate if you are paying for it

sounds like you know Jay.lol Whether your paying for it or not he's always got an opinion on what he thinks.

All you had to do is to wait for some snow to ride your apex with the challenger on it and you wouldn't look back. No question that the maverick doesn't compare.

have you guys tried a maverick ran backwards? try it. if thats all you have to run. might suprize you in the difference it makes. but if you have a choice go ce.

I would like to hear from a few more guys about this 2010 track.

I just picked up a new 2010 Nytro and the new track looks like its going to perform well. Time will tell. But to just swap it out without even running it sounds rather silly to me. Unless you have the extra 700 just laying around.

Sometimes internet hype gets a bit out of control. I only say this due to the new Skidoo unported track. Alot of peeps said the older 2008-09-10 tracks were junk and did not work. Myself having both 146" and 163" ported tracks think its the best track I have ever owned. IMO

What is the deal with the new design single ply track? What conditions are you guys running it in finding faults? Huge HP turbo sleds, or NA sleds.

I knew of 1000's of guys that hated the older Mav 08-09 tracks in the Nytros. But I was under the impression that the design had been improved quite a bit. Im sure nothing like a camo 2.5. But its has be be worlds better than the older version.

Thanks

I had the a 153 on a 08, it was terrible, I had that track reversed for the 09 season and it was better for the first 5 rides maybe... then I sold it for a 2010

I have put 1000 boosted km on the 2010 162 mav. it seems to be holding up ok. WAY better than the 08/09 tracks. but now, after only 1000 km I can see the fatigue, If I wasn't swapping it for the new CE 162x2.5 I bet I could ride half this season and then reverse this track for the rest of the season.

IMO: its not a crap track for 200 hp and down, and for 200+ sleds it may not be ideal, but it is adequate to run for a season.. or two.

Not really silly when I don't have a track to start with.

I've had 5 apex's with the maverick and 1 nytro, and only had 1 bad experience with the maverick. My last tapex(not yours stewd.lol) the paddles were pretty shot and pretty bad shape.

I'll be running the 15 wide 162 on the nytro, and have the 16 wide 162 on the apex for the year.

Sorry Noob, I was refering to me swaping out my 2010 track for something else. Kinda sorta forgot about this being your thread.....lol

I would say start off with the Mav and see how it performs. You have it, its paid for and not worth much in the resale area. Then with this sled being so easy to swap out tracks. You can always change it out within a few beers time..

I had a first gen maverick on my yamadoo for 2 or 3 rides.. that was a joke.. the new ones might be better with the different design, but they still just dont keep the lugs attached like a CE... you run over one little stick and lugs start flying off like its nobodys buisness.. I didnt even like testing mine on the stand, lugs just shot off the thing.

no probs. I definatley want a longer track then the 153 stocker. I've got a 15 wide 162 challenger extreme waiting to be mounted. picking tunnel up tomorrow, time to start putting it together.

Yes they are junk, mine is folded over after one season. i will be going with a CE this year
