Is anybody running the Dobek Gen 4 box?

I thought the valves opened earlier around 6500 ? Maybe you would what to change your springs so they do open earlier and get rid of some of the heat ?
Did you fatten up the red light or did you add more fuel in the transition between mid and high ? What rpm are you targeting for I run mine at 8250 .

how do you fatten up transition area ?

I believe you would adjust it with the red and blue . That way you can move the switch point where you want to start adding fuel . Are you sure your valves are opening at 7600 ? Is this by the pants dyno or did you visually watch them open ? Seems a little high to me . You might want to try a softer spring in the ves .

I just found this on the web and I have been asking them to post something for us 2 smokers . http://www.afrplus.com/Snowmobile-Pro-RMK.asp

Thanks for the links beamslayer, switching valve springs and eliminating the solenoid is a option but I fear losing gas milage or I may have to go to a pcv
rpm based controller to add at the certain rpms needed to cool when valves open and not affect my top rpms like the gen 4 does

No map in the gen 4 you just set you A/F and switch points and the o2 sensor does the rest . To the best of my knowledge . If the o2 sensor fails just unplug unit and ride home .

I really do not see you losing fuel mileage and if you do it will not be that much. I have not disconnected my ves solenoid to check to see how it responds but if we get snow I will be running different springs that TRS recommends . But so far this year I have ridden twice got more miles on the RZR than the Pro. Why do you want your valves opening at 7600 ?

I agree opening the valves earlier would create more power at lower rpm, but depending how much fuel I will add in the yellow light (zone ) controls fuel between 5000 thru 7200 that could kill my fuel mileage ? how much less heat do you think the motor has at say 6500 -7000 if I get the valves to open there?

When I was watching, I never saw my valves open much later than 7200, as best as I could see.

Which makes me ask, how are you determining the det spot is 7600 or valves are opening there. I tried watching and even using a capture button but both where inconclusive for me. Tach is slow, eye's are slow for me, even my thumb was "after the fact" and captured the info too late.

When I was checking mine I use a straw in the hole on the cap and have some one else run the throttle and watch the tach and I run along side .

Yea sorry last part is a lie I quit running the day I turned 50.

I have my airbox self drilled 3 1 inch holes and tubes out plenum under the hood I can really hear the engine ( I really dont like it ) and cruising down trail and ease into the throttle and watch rpms climp engine sounds like bzs and soon has 7400- 7600 engine sounds like blaaa and would get hard det all the time until I added more fuel. I also have the blue/white ev springs in

this at sea level also on A switchback maybe the rmks ecus are programmed to open valves sooner ?

Maybe. The reason I was asking Is that seems high and it is not a usual spot to get the Pro det.

Do you have a can or pipe? Some times that rpm area of det is created by too tight a pipe. Almost impossible to "jet" around without getting super fat. Compounds the better you get the pump (engine) working.

stock pipe and can I find it strange also why that rpm is so lean or is it ?maybe somthing else is causing the det sensor to go off:juggle:

Possible. It is just a sensitive microphone.

Best to do a plug chop and answer that question.

I run a thin rubber washer under mine to help with a over active det sensor .Make sure you have nothing rubbing anywhere and springs are tight on exhaust .
