Who should I be going through for full coverage?
I got a quote from Progressive for $1050/year for the 2010 M8... $500 deductible. I only have 2 10mph over speeding tickets on my driving record.

This seems real high. I paid much less than this (I wanna say half) through Grange back in Washington.

I know there are more factors that take place (storage location, coverage type...) but still, this is way too high.

Who to call and what prices to expect? Thanks all.

I got covered for both of my sleds and i think it was 1300/year, i figure with the cost per day it'll be worth it. And I'll just switch it to comprehensive when the season is done, maybe even shut it off.

before I got the coverage I looked through progressive.com because you can change everything and get it automatically updated to see what costs the most and what's worth it. You can also buy on the website and be current immediately.

We are with Allstate - we fully insure 2 '11 Pros for about $100 a month and then in the summer go comprehensive for about $20 a month. I tried progressive before and thought they were incredibly high.

Wow you guys have crazy high rates.I called around and went with State Farm,$254 a year for my 11 Pro RMK and $151 for the 08 Dragon 700.Full coverage on both 500 deductible and $5000 worth of medical coverage.

Wow, you guys all pay to much. I pay $140.00/yr for full coverage and $5000 medical coverage, with 50/100/50 thru liberty mutual on my 11 pro rmk. The only gotcha is you have to have home and/or auto with them. They were actually cheaper for my auto then anywhere else, so I have everything thru them.

I am also with State Farm and pay the same ($254) for my 12 Nytro.

What's 50/100/50?

Liability rates, like on a car. If you were to hit someone, or say if you've got a lefty, and your sled kills someone... you'll want to have liability.

I was sponsored by progressive for quite a while, (paid out 40k in 5 years from a few totalled sleds) and was paying a real high premium (1400 for two sleds) and just switched to Liberty mutual & I'm saving HUGE money in comparison. With both houses, 3 vehicles and 2 sleds I'm saving $200+ a month.

That said... progressive took care of me & then some on each accident, and didn't drop me despite the large claims.... but cutting my total bill in 1/2 was hard to resist with liberty mutual. Bparks talked me into trying them, I know he's made a few claims with no hassles, no BS.

No doubt STATE FARM ftw

I have a 2013 turbo sled and the cost for my insurance based on 22k is $330 year includes 5k in med pay and 100/300/100.

highly recommend them

Had farmers was paying 650 for my m8 turbo yearly then switched to state farm 264.

I have two insured an 09-800 and a 07-600 and it's less than three hundred,500 ded and med coverage also my enclose 28ft Interstate for 46.00 a yr~ with state farm~

Ins.

$256 yr. $250 deductible for 2011 m8. Have a clean driving record. With progressive. Not a fan of them but was the best price for me at the time.

So out of curiosity what does insurance do for you guys on your sled? Obviously theft. I see people talk about medical and i don't need that up here in Canada. Just considering insurance and hoping to see what the benefits would be.

Thanks guys!

theft, fire, collision, liability, uninsured motorist, maybe more.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was happy to just spend the last hour and a half on the phone. switched everything over to liberty mutual. House was about the same. I am paying a bit more for the truck. But get this, to fully insure a bike and 2 sleds: 320 per year with 200 deductible! So worth it.

Well... this kind of thing is why I've got it!

That bad day sucked, but the $17K I needed to buy the next sled was 100% paid for from that.

My main concern is theft. MOST things that could happen can be fixed pretty reasonably, but it's nice to have.
