installing HIDs

You find power to the HID kit either in the acc power outlet, located over the airfilterbox, or you could just tap into one of the 2 fuses thats located above the oil tank. Be aware over that HID kills your speed sensor on a xp, if you don`t have a battery. Even though it sometimes can take out the speed sensor. Easy fix, is to install a couple of relative big diodes on the power wire to the HID relay. That would deny the current rips from the ballst to go back in to the sleds power wires.

Why not just use the wiring already setup on the sled to its headlights and use the switch as you would stock? Are you saying to wire them up to another power source and then use a different switch? Just trying to clarify, thanks for the help ahead of time!
