Installing a powerclaw

I just bought a new powerclaw track for my m1000 with a 153 on it. My old challenger was shot and the powerclaw seemed like the best way to go. My question is about installing this track. I have never taken off a track or put one back on. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or any tricks about on how to do this. Thanks for the advice:beer;

would suggest using a ratchet strap, wrap it around the top mount of the rear shock in the skid, wrap the other end to where the bottom of the shock is and put pressure on it BEFORE you pull the skid bolts. this way you won't have to pull the torsion springs. that is if you have a 05-07 M. this way the rear skid bolts will line right up and you won't have to fight it.

Daaah ... One of those 'why the hell didn't I think of that?' Thanks SM :rolleyes:

I'f you have a 08+ m-sled just ditch the ratchet and deflate the rear shock :). I sure do miss trying to manhandle/line up the rear mounts by myself, I've had bad luck with single-ply tracks I'm hoping it won't be the case with the PC.
