I'm moving to Rock Springs, WY. Where to ride the steep and deep nearby?

I am unfamiliar with the US 191 area in NE Utah and SW Wyoming. There's gotta be some awesome riding areas nearby. Please fill me in guys! Thanks!

Those folks in RS won't be spilling the beans too easily about all the good riding areas...Just find someone who rides and beg and plead for him to take you with him. About a 2 hr drive anyway you head West, East, or North but very worth it!!!

RS is a great place but a rough town all the same. I love the fact that I am FROM there but could never see myself moving back:)

Park at mirror lake highway parking lot, and honestly there is about 5 different ways you could go that all access phenominal terrain. Elizabeth, whitney, moffit, chaulk creek, the lakes, etc.. my fave is Elizabeth, but whitney and moffit are probably the popular picks

As stated above, about 2 hours drive north, east, or west. Drive North from I-80 on 30 to Kemmerer, east to Snowies, or west to Evanston, go south on 50 until you run out of road - ride the Uintas.

Depending on how far you want to drive you've got plenty of areas to ride .....

Go with built Chevy tough on this one he is the mayor or grand poo pa or something of Rock Springs.

Thanks for all the info guys! My next chore before the snow flies is trade my flat land boondocker Rev Summit 600 in for an 800 XP!!! I'll touch base later this year and hope to meet some of you all.

I have heard that if something of value isn't bolted down it is likely to grow some legs and wander off. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the heads up. Being transfered there for the oil and gas biz.
