This is what you call pucker time for the Chicago political scene. How many Ill. governors have served time now? If hot Rod cuts a deal this will get messy fast. Dont know much about the guy but he seems like an arrogant little prick..hair helmut and all and I dont think he'll have any problems snitching on all of the good ol boy network.

Looks like ABC news has Jesse Jackson jr offering up to 1 million for the seat. I dont know how anyone can avoid the thought that the whole political mess and coruption in Illinios is common knowledge. I'm with Wickman on this one.

How the hell can a "clean" politician come out of that place?

The whole place is corrupt. Thats what Chicago politics are based on. Its in the news all the time around here. Most of the rest of the country does not hear about it because it does not pertain to them, or its not as important as this deal. You only hear about it when its a big story like this one. If the political person is not corrupt they would not have there position. At least thats what it seams like. When you listen to the local Chicago news regularly you start hearing alot of the same names over and over, then they throw in a new one, the pile keeps building.

Jesse Jackson Jr. said at a news conference in Washington that he was Senate Candidate 5 in the government's criminal complaint _ a man Blagojevich was secretly recorded as saying might be willing to pay money to gain appointment to Obama's vacant Senate seat. Jackson said he had been assured by prosecutors he was not a target of the investigation, and he emphatically said he had not engaged "whatsoever in any wrongdoing."

I am so thrilled these *******s are going to be running our country now.

The Jackson family sure knows how to stay in the news. Daddy wants to cut Obama's boyz off. Now son wants his seat. And, where did he get a million dollars?

Obama isn't stupid enough to get caught up in this mess. I don't like him, but I will admit the guys devilishly smart. I hope the Gov starts naming names, and spilling the beans on everyone.
