i know what i learned...i buy a new sled...put a bigbore in..new frt and rear aftermarket skid...etc etc etc etc...
Why the heck didn;t i buy a used sled..!!...all my upgrades would have talen care of any issue a used sled would have had..
The savings buying used would have paid for a good portion of my aftermarket..
Dang...
I did that, bought a 2010 Nytro with MPI big supercharger kit from a shop in Idaho. Paid about the same price a a stocker would have cost me, as they seemed to hav about every setting you could imagine set wrong.....lol.
After getting everything set right and the addition of a Mountain Tamer skid I love it. Only MPI issue ever is having to set the GEMS often as altitude changes, will this new flash help with that? And does everybody else find you have to reset the GEMS often?
My stock Nytro that the girlfriend now rides we lightened to 541 pounds wet. Supercharged Nytro has most of the lightening but is still at 600 pounds wet and it is sure noticable but I am not gonna spend all the money to try to get another 25 or so pounds off. Friend with Polaris Pro was stunned to see my non boosted Nytro was about same weight as his Pro once he added his extra fuel cans to the tunnel. I know Yamaha is not in the business of making money on snowmobiles....just farming for motorsports customers for the other Yamaha products but,
If they added boost and dropped 100 pounds on the Nytro imagine what a game changer that would be?
