If turbo Yamahas are great, why are some many people selling them?

Or maybe it is because so much power is taking them places they can't handle and it scares the he11 out of them.

I know my bb takes me places most of the time that I think to myself ... what the f*** are you doing up here? THEN.... there are the rare snow exceptions where "dam I wish I had just a little more".

LMFAO!!! These Yamaha guys are still such a tender little bunch......so easy to get under their skin.

If I jumped one of those heavy pieces of crap like I jump my Rev it would leave a bombshell all the way down to bedrock.

Your my hero!

I owned three Rev's, guess what I am riding now?
Them Rev's are the epitome of pieces of crap!

They sure dont jump like a rev! My back is aching and the Nytro's rails are bent.

Still............ I would'nt trade my Ty-tro for a stack of m-8s,revs,xp s or dragons.

There is nothing like boost. I said I would not go above 10lbs of boost and yet here I am 14lbs. Bigger and Better, thats why I think these sleds are up for sale.

IMO

Well I figure I could buy 2 nicely equipped Revs with what I've got in mine, but then I realize, how badly I'd be getting screwed and say no thanks. Been der dun dat.

$20K Invested, And still going

250+ H.P. sucks. And I know I can go everwhere your XP will go, probably even higher. We apex owners/builders build bad a** sleds so you guys who dont know how to, can buy them from us after we do all the tech work.;)
So you then can whoop just about every sleds a** on the snow out there.

its because no ones crested mt everest yet! lets see now: 350hp...eh..680lbs...30000ft,,,eh.. 3% loss per 1000ft...yada...yada....35hp at altitude!!:(

It could be worse.....

lets see now: 150hp xp...eh..470lbs.....30000ft...eh...3% loss per 1000ft...yada....three driveshaft.....29 belts.....1 crankshaft....yada......now 680lbs, with parts......yada.....15hp at altitude!!

At least I could turn the boost up! :D:beer;:beer;

It doesnt lose that much power on everest because it doesnt get very far before all said problems are had.

Gee ,no problem with my Rev....now that I relocated the ecm so it isn't full of water,replaced 4 belts,bought a new primary clutch,fixed the rave connections,re set the oil pump ,geared it down,oh! just about forgot hit a bump harder with one ski than the other so now the nun is bent.It sure is nice having a light weight reliable new rev.

Sure glad I don't spend my time fighting that extra weight in the tree's.It is way too warm in the shop fixin my doo!!!:beer;

8 reasons people sell turbo Yammi's:

1) The Lego effect; all the fun ends when you get it built, then it is time to move on to the next project.

2) The GF/Wife/Kids factor: If you have one of those, these tend to get neglected.

3) Job factor; same as #2.

4) Space factor: you have lots of money into sleds but have spent more time and money riding than finishing your house and feel guilty about letting the turbo sit outside.

5) Cost factor: You sell it because it is actually worth some money.

6) Hot Dog factor: You decide to sell it before it kills you.

7) Time bomb factor: You and your buddies put it together in a car port over 17 cases of beer, several bottles of Crown, a little Grey Goose and a few hundred dollars worth of Ace Hardware parts.

8) Loneliness Factor: You end up riding by yourself all the time because all you buddies sleds are torn down in the carport waiting for parts, or they cannot follow you up the hill, so you sell it and buy a _________ so you don't feel so left out.

so we can hear you guys whine and post like this. who cares. why does every guy who has an 08 xp, or a dragon 800 sell it and get a year newer model?? to get a new sled, and new hardware. Some of you guys will never quit whining, will ya??

some guys sell the yammi because it's too heavy and they don't like it. Is that what you wanted to hear. I heard something about back surgery, wah wah wah or something like that. bout a typical response from a whiner.

James, you bought a new sled yet??

The reason in most cases they buy the new sled is because they want to keep up with the jone's. I'd like to buy a new one, It's been 6 years and I'm sure I have a few more in her though. It's a matter of priorities.
