I betch 1000 bucks that this trip I will see aprox 7 new oil/gas rigs up and pumpin .between Fort Nelson and Fort St John not even to mention south to GP...2 weeks later there will be notin there ....just a fence and pumping station

Well considering that I got my drivers permit in 95, and how the economy is not doing so good now, I would say 95. But your 12 years older and I would assume that your life has improved in those 12 years, so you should be better off now.

Here's the problem: it won't happen.

Government has never made anything more affordable or better after getting their hands on it. And affordable in this case no doubt will mean subsidized.. No thank you.

No way in hell he'll actually decrease taxes. I surely don't like the spending that has gone on the last years. But his talk of increasing programs like there is no tomorrow is not conducive to tax cuts. Or redistribution of wealth, which ever way it's packaged.

And government does not create jobs.. it's just taxes someone else so it can support another bureaucracy. Money NOT given to the government will always produce more on the outside.

On top of all this, the man has no character. But that's a whole 'nother day

Ruffy, I'm a decent debater, but I don't wait for guys to say the right thing so I can pounce on them. I'm not trying to convince you that Obama is the devil/terrorist/illegal alien. I think MHA suggested checking out the Obama website for tax info. I did. This is in essence what it says - he'll roll back taxes to the 90's which were lower in cases than during Reagan. So I just went to the tax tables an got these numbers straight from IRS.

Sorry Chief, but you got it all back azwards. A $24 loaf is exactly what some would like. Lets move to the econ 300 series classes. You rock your rig around the great white north pullin dog food and moon pies or mining equipment. Good ol H2, truckin and solving crime. Your competition, ACME Frieght does the same, but they're getting tired of ol H2 cuttin into their bottom line.

So the 'G'overnment says cut your emissions; you say "I'll go broke, too hard, etc.". Acme does the same but then goes to the G and says "you know, your right about emmissions. We'll come on board, begrudgingly (sp?) but we're going to need this, that or the other..." So ACME helps write the legislation to benefit them and put an eff'ing to ol' H2.

Once they (ACME) run H2 off the road, then they say that they simply can't make it on current freight rates and petition the government to regulate rates so that its fair to every trucker. They then work with the same snakes they did on the air pollution and write the rate legisation and and in the end the ACME co. has raised their rates, gotten rid of the pesky competition and now has a secure income.

Don't forget the Busch tax cut expires in 2010 and BO has said he will let it expire. This will cause the largest tax increase in modern history so he can use smoke and mirrors on these other taxes but the Bush tax cut was across the board so the tax increase will be across the board.Swampy
