If the U.S. was not your big brother, you would have been invade a long time ago. Isn't Russia already trying to take your oil rights in the Arctic? Who do you think is going to protect both you and your rights? Maybe that chunk of land to the south of you that happens to hold Veto power in the UN?

Don't for one minute think you know of how good or bad of a person I am.

yeah, cause russia just runs around invading countries, other than georgia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys aren't right next door to nigeria, and russia hasn't invaded them yet!!!!!!!!

I kinda agree with buck50, however not in a red, bold font sort of way.:)

I'm still waiting for someone to explain how going back to "the 90's" is a better tax structure than today - for anyone. I'm willing to eat crow if my number were wrong.

I not calling the guy a socialist, although its not a huge leap. Not calling him a Muslim, which he really isn't. I'm not posting pictures of him not covering his heart, for the national anthem, not the pledge. I'm trying to get to the issue, isn't that what keeps getting said - issues.

Well I have an issue with changing the amount of tax I pay. This 250K number is nothing more than class envy BS. I believe that BO is trying to appeal to the poor to gain his voting strength. I'm sorry, I don't want this country ran by a bunch of people representing people that can't make 250K a year.

Negatory my good man. What I want is a good cross section of representation. As for what the G represents, I think its safe to say that the government has always had, shall we say, an affinity for the top 5 percent.

Let be real about this Ruff, I get the feeling that Mr. Obama wants me to help out a little more. His website said that taxes would be back like they were in the 90's. Well, no one has pointed out that my earlier post was bogus, so I guess when we "go back to the 90's" I'm gonna be paying more in taxes. I don't make 250k, I thought the deal was that people who make more than 250k were gonna get whacked? Here's what the deal is - plain and simple. Take no offense from the font size, but I want to make it crystal clear.

I don't mind being charitable with my fellow man, but I'll do it on my terms. Its not charity when its at the end of a gun. I don't need to give the feds any more than what's fair, so they can "redistribute" it to the less fortunate. The "less fortunate" don't know WTF to do with their money in the first place. If the did they wouldn't be less fortunate. I don't want to hear about the poor family that lost their home. We all stumble at some point, thats why we have a safety net. However, if I contimually repeat the same mistake, why should I get more dough. What this comes down to is throwing money at people. Whether its "assistance" or a loan bail out. People did shi'ite that got them in trouble and want the "man" to bail them out.

We can go into the minutia (sp) but it comes down to being responsible for your choices. Pull a boner and you should pay. Mr. Obama wants the G to solve all the ills. We've seen on few occasions where the G can do a better job than the private sector. Aside from that, most of the things claimed on his website are going to have to go through congress. Good luck with that.

You make the assumption that everyone can be rich and better off, and that they just aren't working hard enough... That is a feel good argument... feel good about capitalism... That is a lie and doesn't work. Capitalism needs people at the bottom....
