I got to looking at some of the 2010's and it's tempting, but pricey...since flash wont download at work I can't get on poo's site...but here is my assumptions and so forth.

I've only owned a 600, rode a 800r summit, loved it but it's thristy.

So I saw that poo has a 155" 600 RMK (kinds sexy in the blue and black), then doo has a 146" 600 summit (also blue and black lol).

I'm scared about the xp chassis cause last year it was just junk, bent running boards, belts, and too much plastic. Haven't really seen the new rmk but idk too much about um either.

Will I really have to have an 800 to get any where in the deep for boondocking and with the 600 will I end up being the guy in the back canoeing to get up anything?

lmk at sea level the 600's enough power for my 160lbs, but 5000 feet? don't know

I have a D-800..my son has the 155 600..the 600 is great on flat ground and small hills..anything bigger and you need the 700 or the 800...the 600 goes great in deep snow out on the flats..but if it gets deep and steep your gonna want more....

The only way I would suggest going if you got a 600 is plan on putting the turbo on it. $$$. I deff agree w aksnow. 700 or 800. Also look at the dealership your buying from. Parts and Service can go a lot farther than a good deal on buying the sled.

well if I was going to buy a new poo I'd buy one from the dealer in Healy that I work for. doo would be a different thing all together. The only thing is no one is selling there 07 summits damn it!

Turbos are overrated. A 600 mountain sled is more than capable in 90% of the terrain up here if you can ride. It can be a bit more challenging in certain snow conditions, but far from uncapable. I have buddies that take 600's where some guys cant get thier 800's. If you are looking to race in a straight line up a hill, sure get a turbo. Not trying to piss in anyones wheaties, but these are my experiences and observations coming off of and riding with many different mountain sleds including 600's. Good luck

Well i have a 2010 Renegade Backcountry X snowchecked I probably can't afford. If anyone wants to trade $500 for a print out from AMDS... hit me up.

On the other hand if anyone wants to sponsor my bank account by hooking me up with a dispatch i would be down with that too!!!

well it kind falls to this...I may stray from doo only cause I never want another carbed sled. 4 reasons, they are chintsy and went out with bell bottoms, and 2nd rejetting, harder to turbo if I want to, and lastly rebuild rebuild rebuild rebuild...AGGGGH...

But the 07/08 cleanfires are all getting recalled sorta kinda to get the sdi kits put on. And i spend a lot of time in the mid range where these tend to burn down. As kind of an FYI to everyone who's involved here, my sled I have now has sees 7000 rpms maybe 3 times a year at most...I love just creeping along weaving around trees lol..

Agree 100%, i've got a 600 SDI Summit and I love that thing and have no problems climbing hills or riding the deep pow. If you need a tad more power there are other things you can do to it, clutches, suspension upgrades, and some things to lighten it up. I ride with a group of people that all ride 600's except for maybe 1 or 2 guys and we have a blast trying to stay with them.
Like AkRev said, if you know how to ride then 90% of the problem is solved. If your going to be doing a lot of climbing i'd look at nothing less than a 144" machine.

I'll agree with you guys to a point....For you 150#er's out there, you are correct. For us guys closer to 250#'s, I need the 800 when it starts to get deep. It does make a difference.

I wanted to get my wife one of those summit 600s, I say it is for her but I would have alot of fun riding it too, on the more set up days. I think the XP would be more fun all around riding. I say get the Ski doo, lighter and better fuel economy.

I hear ya, my last prodject ended in may. Thank god I saved a decent amount.

I dunno about the fuel economy with the sdi's. I ride with a buddy that has a summit 6 and he always uses more gas than my 8. I'd just get a pooh if you work @ a dealership. Partial to the egros comming from a m-sled, xps just seem akward. I'm not super brand loyal I was looking at an assault untill my buddies motor blew and now they're waiting for the update to replace his burnt down top-end...lol

Yeah I looked at what we gave ordered for the 10's and the bad thing was we don't sell many 600,s so almost none were ordered. However a 144 600 rmk es was on there and I was shocked to see how little sleds are marked up from cost to msrp.

So if I was going to buy or can find a miracle to do so I wan't that sled, I really wanted a 155 though :sadbanana:

You had mentioned in another post you were 160 pounds if I remember correctly. You'll love the 144, especially for tree riding and spring snow. I wouldn't hesitate to snag it if you get a decent price on it.
