Ideas for filming 5th year of BOOST.

Well it's obvious by the title that the film is based on turbo charged sleds. For the first few years it was based solely on the four stroke theme, but with advances in technology and some great turbo builders out there, the 2 stroke turbo sleds are really taking off !!

SO ! , I want 2-stoke turbo sled footage. I want Cats, Doo's, and Poo's turbo charged and ready to climb, boon, and hit the snorkle-deep pow.

Walking around these sled shows give me so many great ideas, and there are so many awesome vendors that deserve to have their creations exposed to the public that want and need this innovative technology !

Now that we have the 2-stroke / four stroke idea out of the way, the question is, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN A SLED FILM ?


More like, what would you want to see in MY sled film ?

Veedy, your films cant be long enough. The footage is unreal. Maybe a small narative from each rider on their ride with a quick shot of the sled. Everyone knows there 4-strokes, but whats really under the hood and how are they built. You cant get enough boondocking in ars deep powder for me. I like the idea of filming other brands but your films are based on the Yami and I think that should continue to be the focal point. There has been alot of talk lately about which female will make it up monster first, that could be a shot.

Really, just keep doing what your doing. Boost is always on the "must have" list.

Sugg for all/any snowmobile video makers...

A message of some sort on supporting, or how to support keeping riding areas OPEN.
Even I wish I knew better how I could support this sorta thing.
This is and has been an ongoing and never ending issue. The masses need to be aware of how serious it is.
Weather it be a message about cleaning up after ones self, being polite (or at least decent) to those we share the snow with, or whatever else.
It does seems kinda silly that things like that need to be made apparent, but..really, they do.
Our own kind (sledders) are killing the sport..essentially...and we need to put a stop to it.
After all, these movies rely on riding areas being open in the first place! Right?


AND for actual content, POW POW POW! AND MORE POW!
Musicless audio options.
Techno, or maybe more of an ambient style soundtrack [as an option] (w/o all the screaming and lyrics). I think ambient would go very good w/ slowmo, DEEP pow footage.

I will second the comment on length... never enough video time Veedy!!!

As far as what I like seeing is a bit more on the guys and their sleds and I also like the behind the scenes shots... one of my ALL TIME FAV behind the scene shots was Irmen and Darko switching ball caps! LMAO that was funny!!!

My ONLY critic is that there hasn't been enough DEEP pow boondocking, lip hits in the last couple... always nice to stray away from the insane chute climbs and hit us up with some ambient deep pow facial riding (of course in slow mo!)

I disagree with "richyrich"....continue to focus on Yammy and you limit your audience. I like your ideas of showing ALL boosted machines. I like "Rotax's" idea for a musicless audio option.

Turn the camera around!!! Some footage of the Veedy-san dicing the pow would be cool...the man behind the camera bringing us all the cool vids over the years.

As said above...your vids can't be too long. I like the "music option" idea...not everyone likes the same tunes, and it seems like the video producers are trying to one-up each other to find the hardest tunes.

Just keep doing what you're doing...your vids are always at the top of the list!!

Yup, would have to agree with a longer video just because the good videos you don't want to end.

I like the idea of having more tech info on each sled, more detail of each build, companies involved, etc. It would add a lot more exposure to those who have product on the machines, and never know open up some more freebies for you...

Love the videos so far, will be contactiing you for the latest one here once the house is done and things aren't so hectic...

I will never get tired of the sound of a Boosted Yami echoing off the Mountains all around you , I try to mimic this with my surround sound HA HA crank it up , Veedy 2 strokes still will be a nice addition to a already great film series. keep up the good work .

Oh and I dont know about everyone else but I am not a big fan of to much helmet cam sometimes there is just to much of that , just my thoughts.

Ya, ditto to the naration/explanation of who they are, what they are riding, how much boost and hp, how many times they've attempted this chute, maybe even ask them if they're SCARED! I love the boost series have and watch them all...On a side note if you need some good 2 stroke blooper/crash footage... I just bought a M1000 turbo.

one thing that would be cool, is some tech tips and tricks that these guys do...Not just engines...but that would be killer...how about, reading lines on a hill, and what they are seeing...and what they are watching for...kind of like a Chute Slayer Course...

i think after someone is done climbing like monster or the gash or irmens arm that u should interview them and interview the sled as in open the hood and have the rider tell us everything aboout it, and for a song, u should use bullet and a target by citzen cope, very great song to listen to while sledding and shredding deep pow through the tree's

FIrst off the "Boost" series are the best sled video series I've seen.......and I think I've seen most of them. Keep doin what your doin!!!!!!

For me, I would rather see the guys rippin up the chutes in fresh pow than in spring snow. Helmet cam shots going up some of the chutes would be cool. An option to have just sled sounds would be great.

I would also like to see more everything else besides the long pulls. Those are sweet but the deep powder boondocking is always cool too!!

Have you ever thought about putting some of your "extra" footage in a bonus section in just the raw state? I know everyone wants longer video's and I'm sure the editing on these takes you forever to do. So what about putting maybe a couple of hours of raw footage on the disk if it's possible.

More sled info and pictures of the sled. It would be cool to showcase some of these killer rides a little more.


But even if you keep doing what you do we'll still buy it!

I don't know about costs involved.....but if you did Bluray....you could have all kinds of options...turn on or off the rider's interviews or machine specs in a pic-in-pic in the corner while watching the vid...different music. Personally...I am waay to old to appreciate the deth metal or thrash or whatever the heck crap seems to be on most of the vids these days...give me old school rock, or let me hear the machines.

Option for no music or else very faint in the back ground.More info mabye a peek under the hoods get the rider to say where they are from their names and what they are riding, some average riders that arent doing the big chutes but tearing it up or crashing down the hills.Mabye get stevo to commentate and couple booby shots.

I think people need to see your riding..its insane too and it just lets everyone know you can rock that sled too !
