I'd like to hear the good news!!

The new sled continues to impress. My buddy on his lightly modded M1000 wanted to race across the meadow. 3 foot base, 12 inches fresh. We lined up and ran em. I took the hole shot, just like I figured. He came flying by me 300 yards later... LOL

He said he watched my sled lift right up out of the snow and leave him trenching. Wanted the claim the win, I laughed and told him I thought the race was over already, which in reality, it was.

The sled jumps on the snow like nothing else, it is amazing!

I picked a line in the trees, which became interesting very quickly given the marginal snowpack. I made a move on that sled I knew nobody could follow. When I came back, there was a stuck sled right where I had to make the big uphill turn. I think there are going to be quite a few times this winter where the sled is going to surprise me and anybody trying to follow!

This new sled just rocks. Over 200 miles (mtn) on mine, & it just keeps getting better & better. The more time I get on it, the more it impresses. I've bounced off logs, rocks, & creek banks. No problems. As clique as it sounds, it truly is the best sled I've had out of the box (not that it stayed "out of the box"). Anyways, my 2 cents.

Sick out of the box, like we always thought the old Pro was. It really is a big difference. I was the only one of three not stuck all day and I was leading. I was also the only one on a Polaris. HA!

I haven't sugar coated my opinion of the new a-arms but that wasn't for this thread. What goes here is... I am looking forward to an aftermarket 36" set for after x-mas ;-)

With only one ride in marginal snow I don't know a lot other than this is the first "new" sled I have ever felt 100% confident on in the first few miles.:face-icon-small-hap

Well only one ride so far from lack of snow, so far i'd say quite a bit more power than my 2014 pro, and supprise I like the trail manners better on the axys. In the little snow we had that day (2 feet) I will say it is very keen to slight rider input, and I really like that, pulled one side hill and feet stayed on the boards, just tipped it over and away we went ! I'm 6'7" and 290 dressed btw. I'm pretty sure this thing will go up most anything out there as well.
Fit and finish are really nice and I LOVE THE NEW SIDE PANEL RELEASE KNOBS !!! The ones on the pro SUCKED all in all a bigger improvement over the pro chassis then I thought it would be, good job Polaris on this one :face-icon-small-coo

If you can't ride this sled out of the box without issues its time to look for another winter hobby lmao

The good news is all you guys will have them dialed in and any kinks worked out for me in '17.

I love it! It is my confidence inspiring beast! Took me all of about a mile to start developing a goofy grin under my helmet and it never faded all day! Most fun I have ever had on a sled!

The handling, especially with the 36" AI front end, makes me feel like I can ride like a guy. The edge/ break over point that I fought on the Pro Ride chassis is gone but it still feels consistent and firm on it's edge.

The throttle is a great upgrade this year! The smooth, consistent delivery along with the fact that my thumb wasn't tired quickly won me over.

Looking forward to a great year! Can't wait to ride again!

Love the new axys! Got about 30 miles on trying to break it in before heading out west early January. So desperate to ride I've been Sidehilling ditches with 7"-12" depending on how much the snowplow threw in haha:face-icon-small-coo (no idea why or how to fix the sideways pic from my phone)

LOL I have been doing the same thing

After ride one, loved the power and was not used to the handling.
Ride #2,3,4 wow, getting used to the improved handling and the
AXYS is performing as advertised. Came off a 15 163 3CE, on a 16 163 2.6. The 2.6 is performing very well.
The side hilling control is amazing!!!! Right side is much improved
Over previous models....stays on edge easy...
Overall impression is THE FUNNEST MNT sled I have ever ridden!:)

Took my SKS out on the limited snow we have today......and the power is amazing. I can't wait to get through the break in period.

But my favorite part so far? Damn does it look good! I will try to get a picture the next time I am out.

Epic CO bluebird day. Deep in the trees, a good 5-6 feet, I know the Axys was going for it a couple of times!

The power and the 2.6 track keep the sled going when my old Pro would have been stuck for sure. It was SICK in the trees. I love how it changes direction and how it busts that powder. By far the best sled I have ever ridden...

I'll weigh in as the objective Cat guy. Spent some time on the brothers 163, 2.6 Axys. Poo hit a home run just no other way to say it. Center of gravity change makes it roll over with almost no effort and feels incredibly light in the bars. Bottom end and mid range power feels noticeably stronger than my stock '14 Cat. Did some slightly uphill pulls in 2 ft pow next to my Stage II SLP '15 cat and was pretty much a draw. Definitely gets on the snow better than any of the Cats, XM, or Pro's I've owned in the past (instantaneous grin for sure!). Seems like all good news from my perspective...except for the fact I didn't check one!

If buying a new pro do you get a 155 or a 163? Currently have a 154 summit:

I almost went with the 163 this year after ten years on 153-155 sleds. I am pretty happy with the 155 again. I ride a lot with a 162 Cat and a 163 XM. Neither of them have anything on the 155 Axys. I am probably 250 lbs dressed to ride and spend as much time off the trail as possible.

I am very happy with the 155. It pulled me up a bottomeless powder hill yesterday, skis in the air making S turns all the way up. My old Pro would have been STUCK. The 155 2.6 is definitely working for me.

Another weekend on mine and it does keep getting better. Its very impressive how they climb in the deep stuff, sure impressed a couple turbo guys in the group. It got pushed really hard and took it all perfectly, even a monster rock hit that threw me off the sled without any damage to the front end. :face-icon-small-hap
Only problem was the ECU is a little vulnerable if you rear end another sled, but it is easy to replace. :frusty: Can't blame the sled for our fine choice of routs down an unstoppable drainage. :face-icon-small-sho
