Managing an iron ore mine for a Canadian company.

Arrakis Mining

That is awesome! I heard the riding is pretty sweet out there in Chile to boot you better bring a sled or 2!

Also, Since you gave us the low down on your first two careers how did you end up managing an ore mine after running a bike/sled shop and being an actor?
Just curious lol it seems like a fairly random set of occupations

I grew up in my dad's(Ski-Doo) and my Uncle's(Arctic-Cat) dealerships and learned the mechanical aspect of working on small engines. But my dad always told me he didn't want me to become a 'monkey wrench' like he was. So I focused on the management and running of stores instead. After working at a parts distribution company, and as a partsman at a fairly big Yamaha/Arctic-Cat/Triumph dealership, I was offered a job to manage a Arctic-Cat/Kawasaki shop. I took that jump and soon after found a job opportunity managing a Ski-Doo/Honda/KTM shop. After 5+ years doing that, I was ready for a change in careers and that came in the form of a job offer working for a video production company.

But I wasn't acting, I was the 'Accounts Manager' for Mastermind Studios

After a few successful years doing that I decided to take the winter off and go chase a previous teenage dream of following the ISOC Sno-X Series. A buddy and I started Endel Racing Team and had a blast driving and flying back and forth across the Country. After a winter off of work I decided to take the rest of the year off and get ready for another season of racing.

Fortunately/unfortunately I got a job offer to travel to Chile and head a new mining project(bilingual in English/Spanish) about a month ago. I fly out permanently, in about 11 days.

As far as riding in Chile....I was kinda miffed that all I was gonna be able to do was rip around on some UTV's however my old racing buddy Brett Turcotte(Maybe you've heard of him?) and Chris Burandt just got home from an epic Spring-like ride in Chile with the help from these wicked guys Sled Chile which is about 10hrs south from where I'll be. So I'll definitely be making a trip or two down there to let out that beast on some fresh XM's and PRO's.

This is my new office on the Dunes of the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile.

There are a lot of people in the US with 4 yr degrees that can't make that with a huge tuition bill to pay off on top of it. This is the entitlement society coming around full circle. "OK, I guess I'll get a low skill level job that takes no education but I want $32K because every one else I know gets paid that much or more." This is what is wrong with this country today.

I feel like college kinda wrecked the normal order of things. Correct me if I am wrong, but back in the day didn't everyone start at a minimum wage job, and if they were ambitious and worked hard they would get promoted? And eventually would rise to the top and potentially become corporate?
Who's the friggin genius that came up with the idea " pay for your childs college" WTF? Used to be go to school and work to pay for it,get a grant or scholarship !!!
You would have a bill but pay as you go worked well !!!
So you slave away scrimp and save for your kid.. Ahh we'll hold on to the money for you and give a little interest..keep the rest for our "effort"..
So begins the entitlement portion... Money for nothin' :mad2:

Next thing you know they'll be kids with I phones expecting a party and car just for graduating jr high school if that is even possible:face-icon-small-dis

there are alot that have expected that for years no anyway~~LOL!! mine pay for there own~

I can't believe what parents pay for nowadays I worked for $6 an hour to pay for my truck when I turned 16 and for snowmobiles and dirt bikes. I now make double that lol. The joys of working for parents. If I go to school for anything it will 100 percent out of my pocket.
