I think I'm staying, Cat!

So, I take out my dealers 1100T for a rip a couple days ago, not really my cup o tea. I had the pleasure of their PC M8 today......and tomorrow:) Now after riding the PC M800, I realized something, I don't wanna ride my M8 any moaaa! And after going out tomorrow I'm sure the fate of my TM8 is going to be sealed(traded). The Pro Climb chassis is fantastic! Much smoother transitions from ski to ski and holds a side hill like nobodies business. Forget the Poo Pro, I'm staying Cat!

So far Ive put about 700 miles on my Proclimb 800 but the last ride I went on I rode my Mseries mod sled and couldn't believe the difference. The new chassis is so much easier to ride. Side to side transitions are effortless compared to the M. The new sled sidehills like a billy goat and the best part, at the end of the day the 10 miles of trail to get back to the truck doesn't make your kidneys hurt anymore.

i agree 100% im selling my 10M, and i hate too cause its been bulletproof for almost 2k miles now... might have to get a 13, with the new powerclaw track and..... we'll see!

snow checking a 2013 here. Still cannot decide between M8 or 1100T, but I'm leaning toward the M8. Cannot wait for Wed:rockon:

ride it harder on steeper stuff (one steep down hill decent) and you will want both, the M and the PC.

Thats a mistake you need to seriously consider trying a ZX ski doo chassis and save yourself a few bucks and put some simple mods on it you'll be able to hang with any new chassis and still have extra money in your pocket

I think you may be lost. The Ski Don't forums are a little lower on the forum list. If you scroll down, you will find them. Perhaps the ZX forums are a little slow right now and this is why you feel the need to suggest such a silly thing over here lol. And punctuation will aid greatly in your quest to revive the ole ZX. You've got 3 sentences running on up there.

There were a bunch of 70-80*ish slopes I was cutting with this bad boy. It held onto them no problem. My M would handle them also but the PC felt more at home there. I found that it was also easier to cut back up, or into a side hill, from a down hill decent. I notice the skis tend to push through deep snow, instead of grabbing and tipping the sled over like the M. However the PC chassis is easier to roll over, through rider input. A set of powder pro's or even the old "M" skis should correct this to some degree. The reduced steering angle probably contributes to this as well but I didn't find that to be an issue or hinderance, over all.

Find me an 80* slope with enough snow on it to sidehill :face-icon-small-win Were snowmobilers not fishermen!

your not on anything near a 70* slope,
the PC does turn around easier and everything else you stated but the M will sidehill steeper slopes and stay more in control. Try a down hill while in a sidehill on the PC, In a way that you more or less slide the sled down the hill on its side and maintain a line, it will fight you way more than the M.

i own a prormk and rode a pc m8 this past week and loved it. thinking about getting ride of my etec for a pc m8, thats if i can convince the wife. i liked how smooth it was to carve, i love my rmk and want to see how i like both.

I love my Cat too. It seems like everyone is going on and on about how great the Pro is (and I don't deny it's a great sled), but I LOVE my Pro-Climb! I rode one Pro-RMK 800 and I liked it, but I felt way more at home on the Pro-Climb, I don't know why, this was coming from an M-Cat. Maybe I'm just biased or maybe it's just where I was meant to be all along, but I love the rider position on the new Cat, and the trail ride is so much better as someone else mentioned.

I think Cat has the power to change the game again, if they can refine this Chassis the way they did the M-series.

my biggest complaint about the pro is the running boards, which i will change. i will not go back to doo though, that summit sucks. i see a 13 proclimb spring order in my future.

Pro climb

I hope so too,but do not want to buy a sled on hope! Some people seem ok but until cat can explain why some have problems and some dont i will buy something else.

Why are some motors blowing and some not on the pro rmk? Quality control! Something mass production of anything in todays world lacks :(

K, my first post was after riding in deep fluff. It was cold last night and the show was a little more set up today. The PC is squirlier on a side hill than the M series. You were right Wyo.
