I need new goggles whats the best!

Goggles?!

I havent had much luck with any, haven't tried the 509 goggles, have heard good things, i personally ride with some basic scotts with yellow lenses and blue lenses. seems a good coverage for all conditions. Would like to hear from others:D

have used all but 509 technology it all real close they all work fine. find what fits you best and what you think looks the best if you like. scotts and 509 have nose piece wich is nice i have the scotts

i havent had the chance to use them yet but have heard alot of good things about the 509's and this years model is even better than last years. with a removable nose piece and thick foam

i like the idea of the removable nose piece on the new 509 sinisters, but the goggles are already hard enough to fit nicely on my helmet, putting the nose piece on would just make it that much harder, i don't think it will even fit.

but overall, i do suggest 509 sinisters. i use to run with an old ghetto pair of scotts with orange lens, i had good peripherals, but not much foam or insulation. the sinisters cover my entire face for the most part with the use of my helmet, and they look badass!

what's not to like?

skull came with yellow lens.

I have Spy Blizzards. Don't know if they are still around but I have a few pair with different color lenses and all with QS's. Simply take the color out of the pack you want to wear and flip flop the whole works and you are on your way. No messing around.

Hint, tirm the QS female portion (where it gets really small) with a knife just a bit so it's not so fricken hard to remove from the helmet. When on of course it's pulling it into the socket so you are all good.

I have the 509's and the Scott 89Xi turbos, and feel the 509's are much better quality. I have yet to use either of them, but the 509's fit my cheap HJC Cl-5 helmet so perfect, while the scotts fit is good, but not perfect.
The new 09 509 goggles should even be better than the older 509's.
That rose amber tint from scott though is pretty sweet.

i dont care whos goggle it is the all fog up, i rode last year with the 509 and they were ok but there suppose to be better this year for more coverage in the helmet area, i really dont care for scott.

I have heard only good about the 509's. Never personally tried a pair though.
Scott makes a popular goggle, but I've never considered it top of the heap. Please I'm not trying to bash on Scott wearer's. Try on some different brands and compare peripheral vision. Overall comfort of how the goggle sits on your face. And please try them on with "your helmet". You will find many high end goggles are now more affordable than Scott's.
Those nose pieces aren't always all they are cracked up to be. I tested some Scott 89's when they first came out with the new version. Found it to be more hassle than it was worth. I get the same feedback from a lot of customers as well. They can be hard to tuck into your helmet. Work better on warmer days.
RJ, the blizzards are no longer available. Same basic frame as the Targa snow's though. I'm personally a Spy goggle wearer. And believe me I have an extensive collection of other brands. Great fit, well thought out venting. All models come with no sweat foam. They make the Targa snow, the Zed and Omega all specific for motorsports.
Also, check out Dragon and Utopia for a nice goggle.

I was sold on their quailty from the get go but had not tried them when we started selling them. Now I've got two trips on them and LOVE THEM!!!

Whether you buy from us or someone else you will NOT be disappointed.

Thanks,
Paul

i have used scott turbo flows for the last 5-6 years without any complaints, they fit decent and dont fog near as bad as ive seen some of my buddies with other brands do. that being said this year i ordered a set of 509s cuz ive heard good things about them, havent got them, or snow yet so its still up in the air how good they really are. i also use the method RJ said i have a couple diff. pairs with diff. lens's and QS that i can just switch out depending on conditions.

edit: i use the older style of turbo flows, dont care a hole lot for the new style. plus the nose gaurd on the old ones are small, well big enough to keep from getting roosted in the nose but small enough to not be a pain where as i believe the new style turbos nose gaurd is frickin huge if i remember correct.

Try a Polarized goggle, once you do you will never go back to a regular style.

I used the 509 last year and it worked well and I have used Oakley and Smith. I usually have two sets. One for backup. Polarization is great, really helps to see where you are going.

I have last year's 509's and really liked them. I hope to get another pair for this year so I don't have to change lenses. I have tried other ones with out the same results as the 509's.

I have some Scott (I believe) OTG goggles with a yellow lens.
And I have some Smith goggles with a blue lens.

I like the Scotts (OTGs), the foam is thicker and covers more of my head/face. I stay warmer with them. And I almost never have fogging issues. I have ridden with some guys that carry 2 or 3 extra goggles and are dealing w/ fogging and freezing etc. and mine work fine all day long.

It may be a matter of finding what works for your head, helmet, face, etc..
But I've been using the same Scotts for the last 3-4 years and only thing I wish I could get with them is a nose guard for the real cold, windy days down the trail. Or for the very sunny late season (sun burn).

I'm debating weather to try the new Scott 89x with nose guard in an amber, to see what that looks/feels like. But probably shouldn't mess with a good thing. :P

Polarized lenses for 509s are coming down the pipeline very soon!
