I need more GAS!

Looks like MCX is just about ready to start selling their tanks. I would wait to see what they are like. If anything like their turbo kits these will be the answer.

Hmmm
Didn't know they were even working on one!

THANKS for the tip!!

Those trail tanks look pretty good! I must have an earlier version that came with my turbo kit because it doesn't fit nearly as well as those do.

Put a trail tank on my 09 Nytro MTX, great fit and easy to install. Sure was nice having 10 gal. of fuel. Also had the craggerbuilt tank on the back and never ran out. Even with an MCX 240 kit on it.

my bet is its a trailtank....with MCX stamped on it.

Have done a couple sleds with trail tanks and the ones I have worked on are brutal fit and finish. You got the best fit a nd finish sled out there and then wreck it with this tank:face-icon-small-dis we haul 5gal on the back and ride...:face-icon-small-win

Seems to be some disparity in the final fit and finish.

Has TrailTank made any changes to the tank over time???

I have the third version of the trail tank after trying the first two versions. The 3rd version fits close to factory. Not perfect but it's pretty good. Worth it IMO.

I really hope they have. My trail tank was hard to mount, hard to get the hood lined up for the screws, and has some significant gaps in the sides where you can see the wiring harness/engine compartment. After dumping a PILE of money into a turbo kit, I was really not impressed with the trail tank. If I didn't have a front mount I'd run the stock tank and carry some extra fuel on the rack.

hey there truebluemax where did you get the taillight

I hate to admit this because at first it was just one of those temporary solutions. I got it on there and I think it looks pretty good in that spot. It is a brake light for a trailer. They make ones with the tail and brake light that are about 15" if I remember right and it fits perfectly in my opinion. The $18 price tag doesn't hurt either.

So the tank HAS evolved some over the years.
That might explain why there is such a disparity in comments from one user to the next and why some of the photos make it look like a VERY clean fit.

I picked up mine at Hay Days last year. Fit and finish is top notch IMO. If you can make it to MN for Hay Days you can find some awesome deals on whatever you want.

My plan is to go with the Trail Tank up front, then depending on much gas the new Supercharger is concuming, I can carry something on the back to the playground...:face-icon-small-hap
