I nearly lost my buddy today.

Any updates?? Hope he's recovering well. Our dogs are like our kids also, it's tought to see them hurting :face-icon-small-sad

Well she pooped today!
That was begining to concern us.

She is still very stiff & tender, understandably so.
I can tell she is sick & tired of doing nothing, but she knows she's not up to doing anything yet.

Thanks again EVERYONE for the well wishes & stories.:rose:
We share a lot more common interests than snowmobiling!

Glad to hear. Our dog got run over a few years back. Took a week for her to act normal again. Strange thing is she was knocked out for a while and when she came to........ my wife was holding her. She was very scared of my wife for like a month. Must of thought my wife caused her all this pain since she was the first person she saw.

buds

we hope a quick and full recovery...as you can see one of my 4-legged children just had a recent visit with the vet...1 continious inside stitch, 30 stitches outside....hope all goes well.

Progress is slow.
She is in alot of pain when she tries to walk & seems to be in pain when I carry her also.
This makes her dread the bathroom breaks very much.
When she knows it's pisser time, she tries to go quick inside so she doesn't have to go outside.

Thanks again for the well wishes!
She will be OK, just gonna take a bit.

Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone!

It's been over 5 weeks so here's an update.

She's doing great!
Now the problem is keeping her from doing things that may hinder recovery.
She wants her life to be back to normal, which for her is 110% all the time!
I want to try to keep her slowed down for about 3 more weeks.
here are a couple of pics from today.

Just saw this thread, I know what it's like when your little buddy gets hurt. Glad she is doing better.

She is so damn adorable. The pic with the bowl in her mouth is SOOO frameable. Good for you Mafesto.

All too ironic. Just peeked at these pictures, looked down and here is my boxer with her food bowl in her mouth.... hahaha
Glad to see she is doing OK, 'Cuso

Just one observation, does the pet door marked "dog" in the background keep mice and other critters out, or is it so the dog doesn't get confused?
LOL. :D

Well you know how it is with kids.......she never shut the door behind her,
so she got her own door.:)
