This is what happens when the hydaulics lock out and the blades can't be pitched out of the wind causing the turbine to over speed as the break can't handle the load. The wind had increased to 80 mph during a storm... this is a Vestas turbine over seas.

My dad is fighting against those pos's they want to put a bunch of them in E Burg right infront of are cabin along 97, The County didnt pass them but then the governor accepted and now the county and some people we know are going to court over it. There like 410 or 120 Ft tall and you can put a Boing 747 inbetween the blade's now who would want that for a view?

what would I rather have, pollution I can't see or pollution I can? I don't think your problem is as bad as you make it out to be. A lot of places in the midwest actually get increased tourism due to people visiting and seeing the wind farms. There has also been a lot of people that have changed there mind about the view and that they actually enjoy it.

I am not sure about the 108 dB's. That sounds very high (Louder than an open 4strk dirtbike). What would make that noise? You might be able to here the blades going in front of the tower, but I doubt you could hear anything from your location.

Yea sorry about the mistake it is 105 Decimal's. Louder than a Four Stroke Bike louder than a V twin harley with the pipes off piss rapped. You dont hear the blade's in the wind 60 Ft wind mill's is one thing but 410 Ft is another.

I under stand the polution factor we do need wind mill's but not infront of people's home's. Maybe they should go in the city where more than half of the polution is coming from.

1. WTF is a decimal, and how does a wind turbine produce 105 of them?

2. Prove to me (via a link) that the ones they are putting up in Ellensburg are 410 footers.

3. Show me the proof on the 105 dB.

4. Put one in my backyard, free of charge, hook my house to it, and I'll gladly take the view! Oh, actually, I'd rather have my own household nuke-reactor in the basement, but if wind it takes, then wind it is.
