okay, lets start off with the fact i hate polaris, infact, i hate polaris so much i wont let one tow me off the mountain, i would rather walk my *** down, its a passion how much i hate them, but......., i tryed someones Dragon 800 163 out for a quick burn, and holy smokes, handling is amazing, the balancing of everything, wow, am very impressed by the dragon chassis, takes no effort to side hill, carve, or just play around, feels like a dirtbike, bone stock, polaris finally got something going here, very excellent, i love it so much, am gonna buy one, pop the hood open, and you can at least work on it with room, never heard of polaris pull cord assemblies falling apart, damn skidoos, i hate the recoil system they have, so next season am going with a dragon

WOW…. Do you feel better now? LMAO I thought this was going to be a lame bashing thread! AWSOME way of being honest! :beer;

Fixed it for ya :beer;

I hated Polaris as well. I rode my buddies 09 D8 on the weekend and I was very impressed with the fit and finish and how crisp and smooth it ran!!! If I ever went back to two smoke I think I found my choice. That being said I had a chance to hop on an 08 Xp right after, I took the Xp for a pull and I did out climb the dragon's high mark I made, and on the second pull I exploded the belt.:mad: That's a doo for ya!!!

Just need to do some motor work, and my d8 will be acceptable. Stock motor with the 163 is far from a great open climber.

A stock XP will outclimb a stock Dragon in powder. I don't think there is any disputing that based on what I have seen. XPs are like a tractor. They seemed to be geared very low and the power gets to the wide track and keeps that lightweight sled going up higher. On the other hand, I have seen a lot more Ski Doos towed out. My Ski Doo riding buddies buy the extended warranty and it gets used. I will be dmaned if I can figure out how Ski Doo makes any money on a sled when most of them that I know of have been rebuilt two or three times while under warranty.

I have to agree, a couple of my buddies bought D8's this year. If i wasn't so happy with my M1 i would think about a dragon. But their sleds won't even touch mine :)

The 09's really are impressive. As a Cat guy I really don't know what they changed from 08 but it made all the difference in the world. I could actually ride one and enjoy it.

I have 2 friends that have them and they have both lost 2 pistons though. They are both bone stock and it seems they have a lean spot about 5800 RPM's. Nice sleds though. Isn't it great having so many good sleds to chose from!!

Ride them all long enough and you'll find a reason to hate them all....been my experience anyway.

I'd like to try a Dragon myself (been offered to) but if I don't have the coin in my pocket to buy it I'm not going to get on it. I don't have the best track record on other peoples sleds. :eek:

How anyone could hate a certain brand just because is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Nothing positive comes out of ignorance.

So I thought I loved Polaris until this season. Brand new RMK 800 155. Sleds runs great handles boondocks etc. The track shredded with 136 miles on the sled Polaris said tough luck... And now every time I ride my left foot is friking wet when I get done two different pairs of boots one brand new. No problems on other sleds jjust the RMK. Oh and dads brand new 800 RMK threw a bealt with less than fifty miles. They're talking to POO about the belt we'll see if they replace it. Love the sled just wish they'd stand by s**** like a brand new track...:eek:

They all suck except the one you own, as long as it runs.. Nobody can argue with that.cIv owned cat and skidoo and yamaha. Iv been towed out by the same polaris for 6 years on all but the Doo. (Doo got towed by the M) But i still wont buy one till i get beat by one. Theyre made in america, they have to be better built, right??

Get an Assault with a new track, riiip
