I like to pull those "cowboys" aside and have a quick safety meeting with them, it usually calms them down a bit.

Haha, good input folks, dont get me wrong, i like to let my sled warm up and take a small spin but by no means do i ever become the PLP at WOT with no helmet! lol i leave that to the dumba$$'s like this guy i saw with a rx-1 turbo on a short track that was blowing my ears out last season until he spun out on ice and couldn't turn in time, he hit an ICE BANK and almost his nice new truck, so much for that sled...

I hate it when people drive their 4x4s up the groomed trail for a mile or so leaving huge ruts to bounce in and out of.
other than that I hardly ever see PLPs, maybe its bacause I mostly ride Weekdays

I have never had anything like that happen to me, never.
I slow down and give them plenty of room.
I really don't know what I would do if some one pulled bs like that.
My wife would probably have to come to thier rescue!! I don't know if I could stop myself from a full on defensive assult. That is what I would tell the sherrif when he showed up anyway. The smart thing to do would be call the sherrif on them and charge whoever did it wity assult, but that would suck the daylight out of my day in the mountains. A good old fashion beating seems more proper.

We were unloading our sleds a Pilot Creek in Cooke one weekend
and a kid jumped his sled off the trailer and tore off to the open field
beside the parking lot! If you ride it alot you know whats out there!!
He decided he was going to jump off one of the bumps out in the field??
Yep!! the bumps are sold granit just covered with light snow!
Supermaned over the bars and smashed the crap out of the front of the sled!! Last I saw he was grabbin the family jewels as his buddies pulled
what was left of the sled back on the trailer he just jumped off of!!
Lesson learned I hope!!

Every parking lot has them! 100G Wraped up in toys and truck and no clue how to ride! Usaully ends up being the Idiot's that go and get lost! 
yeah, no crap dude, i got tagged, I guess he doesnt like my riding style and wouldnt go with me, hmm interesting he knows so much never riding with me.Lolz careful there's a PLC handing out neg reps for this.

unfortunatley one of the worst ive seen is a regular in our group. hes got the big huge diesel truck, big enclosed trailor and a couple sleds that he put way to much money into. the newest he bought last season he payed way to much for, like 5-6 grand more than what the sled cost cuz it had an aftermarket susp. and a single pipe and his "friend" who also happens to be the salesman at that particular dealorship told him it was a screamin deal. anywho hes the guy that goes out to the hills and sits there on his flashy snowmobiles and watches everyone else climb the hill and runs his mouth about how much better or faster his sled could climb it but never backs it up. you tell him to either put up or shut up and he has an excuse why he cant or if he does do somethin and gets beat by one of our poor man sleds theres a reason for it, its definately not cuz ours might be meaner or set up better but something like well his wasn't running right at that moment, or the snow wasnt right for his setup, or yada yada yada. hes the same way with his truck and dirt bike, they got the same thing done to them that every other tom dick and harry has but his is untouchable if you ask him. man its annoying as he!!

For a second, I thought you were talking about me. But then I don't have a big huge diesel truck, or an enclosed trailer, I only got one sled with no add-ons except for a riser. I don't have a friend who is a salesman at the dealership. I don't have a dirt bike, and I keep my mouth shut when on the mountain because I realize that there are plenty of riders up there that have bigger sleds and better skills than I do, but I always root for the underdog! But when its a long trip to the powder and your on a mod sled, sometimes you just gotta blip the throttle, but starting it and pinning it too show off the MBRP can is nuts and usually funny.

McustoM, I have met plenty of nice skiers also. But I like the dog sledders a hell of alot better. I have yet to meet a mean set of them. LOL but I have never put a CAT in front of them. YAMMY 4 LIFE!
so i have to add a story about the tree huggin hippies and their hipocracy....
in the summer i ride a 01 yz250 dirtbike, its fairly loud so when i do have to cross town i keep it quiet and low throttle. im just getting back to the trails to my house and some leaf licking hippies are walking down the trail with walking sticks. i wave to them, to try and be polite so they,re not all pissed, and when i pass them at like 2 F...... miles an hour the guy takes a f....... swing at me with his walking stick. now i was 14 at the time so i didnt get off and beat there asses, being there was like 5 of them, but i brought the bike to a stop and dumped the clutch in third gear and showered them with golf ball sized rocks.... lol . and i have never seen any stump humpers on the trails again

sounds like my old boss lol. he always had a new d-max and now he has a turbo apex. of course he had to get the 174 so he did. last may at the forum ride in Lincoln he wanted to race me (stock 800 REV) so i said ok. race 1, beat him by 2 slead lenghts (it was running like sheit), got to the top and he was certain there was something wrong and that maby it was a fluke so we raced again...same thing and more excuses. hands his sled off to Doc Nesbo and he does some tuning. Race 3, he smokes me cause they cranked her up to 16lbs and then the bragging came.....those 3 races were the most he rode all day. the rest of the time he sat at the bottom and bragged that he beat a stock 800. on the plus side i got to ride his sled more than him!!!! now that he has a t-apex he has to be extra cool and "sponshure" Team Thunderstruck. he sure cant ride worth crap but he has alota money and a nice sled! lol
Next time you guys see a cross country skier on the trails ask them for their sticker.. I always do... If they don't have one then giving them crap about you paying for the the trails to get groomed?
