Actually caught my first and second muskie. First one was a 30" little guy, but only 45 minutes later, I caught this (Attached photo) 43" beauty.

In my excitement, I grabbed the wrong side of the gills to hold it, and the gill plate carved up my fingers pretty good. It didn't even notice I was bleeding until after I let the fish go......

My buddies all told me that I would be really excited when I caught my first big one. They were right, that was totally awesome!!

I can't wait to go back to our "secret lake"

Spent most of the spring casting with nothing, then BOOM! two fish in 45 minutes on a topwater, "Pacemaker" of all lures.......

Mind telling us on what lake you caught it?
Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me. I'm a dock-pounder for largemouth. Never muskie fished in my life, and I don't reckon I'm about to start.

If you get a chance and want multi muskie days drive up to Mantrap Ive fished that lake 3 times this year and we have got 10 this year. Most are smaller 36-42 range but have seen bigger fish too

Blu - Do you ever fish alex. or sham. both those lake are not far from nisswa and both have 55's in them I know for sure

I fish sham 3 days now and SKUNKED this summer. probably wont fish it again till end of september when the lake turns on again

Also fished alexander 2 times seen some but I really havent had much time there to locate good spots, but I hear theyre biting and a buddy got a 52 there a few weeks ago big walleyes and bass too!

I have reeled in some nice fish on Tonka. I personally seen a 50" get reeled in and landed on Wayata Bay.

I dont think they do on crook just pesky "hammer handle" pike everywhere

I like sham but its been tough out there this summer all I could think on sunday was 80 degrees out and I wanted to go on the blob that the church camp has out there :)

I usually fish from the dock on jennings bay... I dont know by standards what a "big" bass but we've got 2 this yr that were 20" last yr got a pretty nice size walleye.. best part i dont use any gas in aboat.. Theres plenty of big fish out there forsure.
