I cant beleive this is happening

No kidding. A lot of gov't contractors are scaling back operations (Raytheon and Lockheed Martin specifically, i'm sure there's others) due to the high possibility they won't see any contracts for the next 4-5 years.

I just hope he doesn't order an immediate withdrawal from the middle east.... talk about making a huge mistake.

He will not and can not Pull out of the Mid East. I just sit here wishing his dad had Pulled out:(

Funny! I am going to drive around aimlessly and listen to Limbaugh to try and sooth the pain. Of course rush is probably gloating because he is guaranteed four years of stellar ratings.

STFU Azz

OK Wyatt Earp, why don't you think about what you just said. No really, think about it. Think past the yea, we got rid of the n*&^%r.

First off, you've made a martyr - revolution likes nothing better that a good focal point.

Second, you get Biden - not really any better. And if his health is an issue? Who you get then, smartee!

Third you'll mobilize a heluva lot of minorities against the "white" man. You think that your opinion means s**t now, just wait.

I can go on if you want, but I'll wait to see if you have got the stones to keep up you idiotic thought process

easy tommy tough nuts, it was a joke

We made it thru Carter I hope we make it thru this:( Sad day for sure.

Just wait until Obama gets on all of the tv stations and says that we need to make sacrafices like fuel rationing and the tax cuts to the middle and lower classes can not be done, because the the Chineese have making a margin call and want repayment of the bonds they are holding.

Carter did the same thing in his term

Its worse today, I may just take up drinking, anyone ..... :brokenheart: Its not about losing rep vs dem. Its about seeing how stupid people are and how they sold their freedom for a promise of change, the wrong kind of change, and welfare. This is Black wednesday in more ways than one.

I get crap in the mail every other day from my union (UTU) telling me how much better off we'll be with a Democrat in the office. For eight years they've blamed Bush for all their laziness and ineffectiveness. What excuses are they going to use now? Freak hit the nail on the head by saying: "Its about seeing how stupid people are and how they sold their freedom for a promise of change, the wrong kind of change, and welfare." Every time you turn on the TV you understand how uninformed and ignorant America is getting. And that statement is not intended to be political.

Sad time indeed for this country. We were discussing this outcome at work yesterday and when his tax increases go into affect, we are seriously considering moving our manufacturing off shore just to maintan some profitability. If this happens, it will be a very sad day. We have prided ourselves on being the only manufacture in our line of business to be truly american made products.

I can only hope that somehow we can figure out a way to maintan our 180 employees and not send manufacturing off shore....

Tell me what policy Obama will put into place that will make you offshore jobs and reduce your workforce in the states.

Non Sequitur:
There is no job reduction policy, per se, and you know it.

Job losses may very well be the net result of various policies, the first being tax policy. If he punishes those who provide the jobs simply because they are rich, they will respond by protecting themselves financially and reduce their exposure which translates into production cutbacks and layoffs.

If the price of everything goes up and the availability of jobs goes down the "working man" suffers first, worst and longest.

To the question of what will the military do? In short" What they're told.
I endured the whole 8 years of Billy Jeff while on active duty. It was a somber time. Bottom line: Our military is professional, and as professionals, our men and women in uniform will continue to do their duty to the best of their ability.

Uh, when you are on the border of being taxed even more, and your competitors have already offshored work, you best do something if you want to stay in buss.My brother and I have been discussing this aswell and decided it might be best to "split" our buss. up into different states to maintain lower taxes. There will be alot of shady practices going on the next four years.

How are you going to be taxed more?

Oh my bad! Usually when people make a joke, its funny. Not because its sophmoric, but because its based in truth - thus why its funny.

Woman who fly upside down have harry crack up

He who stand on toilet, high on pot

See, even I can do 3rd grade humor.

So Michael Richards, either work on the routine before you bring that weak action up in here or you really think it would be hilllllarrrious to see dude brought down by some kind of mortal misfortune.

Oh and mix in a "J/K" so I know when I should laugh.

How are you going to be taxed more?

EX if you won't answer me the tax question from every other thread on this dead horse. Let me ask you this.

How will I be taxed less?

What question did I now answer. You won't answer this question. And I do not know your income level, but there are several calculators in the internet to tell you how you will be taxed less (or more if you make over $250,000).

Obama already is changing his tune on how fast he can "fix" this country. Right in his victory speech he said "we may not get it down in a year or even two, it may even take more than one term".. Now he is preparing us to get screwed for even longer??? I sure hope not, lets just hope we can survive 4 years. I hope everyone who voted for him will see exactly how bad he really is.

i think limbaugh should be worried, the liberal's fairness doctrine is going to push him off the air

Dammit EX I've hit you and ruffy and MHA multiple times. I went to Obamas website like I was asked by MHA. It said that taxes would be rolled back to 90's levels "which are lower than during the Reagan administration."

I calc'd 25K,99K and 256K right off the tax table and by gosh every income level was less in 2007 than 1995. If healthcare is a deduction for a business expense and its says that I'll get a 50% tax credit, is that an investment? Or do I only get credit for half the expense. I know that I maybe focusing on only a small part of the whole Obama platform, but its a big part of why he was elected.

You and I can discuss the direction the country is taking, which I think will be more fascist than socialist. Before anybody jumps my arse about it, go do a little history lesson about the start of the party, especially in Italy, and what they were about and reconcile that against our society today. I found it to be a little distrubing. I have stayed away for generalizing the democrats and to a greater degree Sen. Obama in a pejorative sense. Of course I have made a few references, but usually in jest and it was germain to the discussion.

I don't hate the guy, but I do dislike his socio-economic view. Giving people unearned rewards will not solve our problems. That goes for the second generation welfare person or a pardon for a politico or a bail out for some (a whole) that used your 401k to make it rain in a strip club in Miami. This goes for either side of the isle.

Heres what it comes down to from my point of view. If you're right about your guy (and I not sure your are) then I'm wrong and we'll both be better off, because he's going to "change" America for the better. If you are wrong, neither of us will be better off and some jackhole that didn't do squat might be in a better position without working to get there. Honestly, I hope you are right.

Of the last two weeks of me poking and prodding on here, that is probably the most articulate writing I have seen from your side. (Though I am a lil drunk from the Buckcherry/Avenged Sevenfold concert).

I do not agree with you, but hey, that is what is great about America. That is the thing, I think Obama is a better person to bring us out of this mess than McCain. We need an inspiring leader and he has inspired millions of people (both positively and negatively). McCain, 8 years ago, probably would have been a good president, he is just so dull at a time when we need something more. Bush has been non-existent the last year or so, and I think that has helped the recession progress.

I don't know, just my thoughts, though it is a little hazy right now.

Carter was just ineffective and made idiotic mistakes. He still loved this country.
Obama is going to intentionally weaken this country so that the American hating countries will like us more. They would love to see my country weak. Why do you think he was so popular in Europe?

(Sorry Obama supporters, I cannot, in all good concience call him President Obama)

Time will tell. I only hope that when the dust settles there is still enough of my country to rebuild it.

Hang on everybody.

I think President elect Oscama is the correct pronunciation

Freak- I dont want his promises either...just to slam his faithfull was my intent...BJ
