Chalk me up to another guy who got his avy back set off inadvertantly by a tree!
2012 BCA Float 18
Got stuck in some aspens, had a buddy help me get out. After some digging I got back on the sled, he tugged on my ski, I gave it the throttle. Just as my sled built full boost and I started to move I heard a loud WHOOOSSSHHHH and thought I had blown some hose off my turbo or something. One second later I felt a little nudge on the back of my helmet and I knew instantly what happend.
Made me chuckle.. I actually rode around a couple minutes with it deployed to see how it was riding. I was suprised that it really didnt affect my riding at all unless I was going fast enough to feel a little wind drag, but nothing bad at all.
I also think that the handle must have been caught in a really good spot because it seems designed in a nice shape where this shouldnt happen too often.
I love the pack, right size, right weight, right price, works great! I hope I never ever have to use it for real.
P.S. Sorry for the seriously suggestive title, I couldnt resist...
