Huge snow totals in Northern Co!

After looking at the huge snow totals 30+" range with a couple of feet more forecast up in the Northern end of Colorado I am wondering where go the most?

Looking for a short road trip Friday as to beat the weekend crowd and lookin for the best snow so where did the most fall?

I saw totals of over 40 inches in the Steamboat area in a 3 day period. Im guessing Walden received a heavy amount if that is the case. Walden is about an hour from there. I think they were actually pushing 48 inches.

Depends where ur coming from for short trip....walden doesn't have much and u might as well drive a little farther to rabbit ears for far much more snow....Cameron pass is the closest but only showing 45inches....

Actually, if you want the closest, just take the Buffalo Pass road to the West from the CO HWY 14 (?) from Walden. It is much closer to riding than traveling around another 30-40 minutes to the RE side.

Thanks and while we have had some good snow here around Buena Vista it would be fun to get in some great pow.

Yeah, it's been awesome riding NOCO the whole last week and getting better every day. Yesterday was insane with 2 to 4' of champagne fluff that was some of the lightest I've rode in a long time. This morning was another foot or more but temps were climbing a little high and winds kickin.

Had great snow up at Hahns peak too. Check out the Midnight Ranch up there. Great ride in/out houses.

43 degrees in Steamboat now. Should do wonders for the powder we had.

Ouch! was 32 when I left MC lot. Hopefully it will snow right through til the temps drop tomorrow.

I'll second the Midnight Ranch. Steve is great. Road there might scare a few with large trailers though.

Nice to see the powder pics.
But now I have to vent a little.... I have a totaled sled up on Buff pass. And I know you guys have seen it couple times. Just have not been able to retrieve it. I was up once only 1 week after I left it there. It was already scavenged! What is wrong with the morrals of our fellow riders?? Now i hear that all is left is the seat leaning against a pole. (probably to mark it to finish taking what they can.) It's amazing how little people care. I know that it is completley burried now! So I guess you cant steal anymore off it!!

Yea... i was carving fell off and throttle stuck. was probably going 40 to 50mph into trees. i rode sled about 1 mile on 1 ski to get it by trail.
