It’s like the oil keeps flowing into the engine from the tank, any ideas? My sons 14 pro will leave ahuge amount of of upon starting after sitting all summer. Runs fine rest of the year. Any idea why this happens?
what made me finally fix mine was that it hydra locked one cylinderMakes a hell of a mess doesn’t it! Mine did it as well.
I tried to start mine with the electric start, and thought the battery was dead. Cylinders were full. I fixed it by trading it off.what made me finally fix mine was that it hydra locked one cylinder
Over the summer the check valves leak. I had the Ski doo oil cap on so it never was able to create a vacuum, and it filled the engine with oil.Did it do it in the off season?

Interesting notes on the Doo cap. I've had one on mine for a couple years now and have never had a problem. Will have to keep a closer eye on it.
I believe that the main problem is the check valves are not working correctly. Then the ski Doo oil cap makes it worse, because it never creates a vacuum by design.
I guess if you have your Polaris cap you could put it on over the summer. Cracking the Doo cap will also allow free flow, and I’m not sure if enough pressure is made by seasonal temp rise to cause an issue. The MAIN problem is poor check valves. So in a sense, during extended storage with a Doo cap, your best bet is to crack the cap a bit?
