hudosns hope area

moving up there at the beginning of febuary and just wondering where the good mountain riding is and how far you have to travel to get to it.

The closest mountain riding you can get is probably the pine pass about 2 hours from hudsons hope, unless guys go down williston in the hills that way but either way id say your about two hours away from mountain riding

There is closer riding than that though. Down the Johnson Creek FSR you get into some really steep stuff and down the Moberly Lake road you can access the back way into Silver Sands down in the Pine Pass. About 1.5 hrs into the Hasler area. Lots of good riding in the Chetwynd area.

thanks, are the areas around chetwynd big climbs or more of a technicl area, and how is the the snow up there?

Not the hugest of hills but some will clamp every orifice in your body tight!!!! Best powder riding in the province usually. It's as good as anywhere once you figure out where to go.
