Hps Can Not lining UP with PIPE!!!

Got a Hps can a while back threw it on and love how easy it went on, but then noticed that the can is about a half inch taller then the stock can, have to lift the pipe up to get it to line up!!!When I do this it causes the pipe to pull away on the top side where it connects with the y-pipe and expose about 1/4 inch of the exhaust dounut. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Will be giving scott a call on Monday.
Thanks Darren

Polaris changed something with the pipe from 2011 to 2012. I think Scott is aware of this and changed the cans this year so that they work for the 2012 changes. If you have a 2012 PRO and a 2011 HPS can I think you will have minor fitment issues.. I read it on here awhile back so I'm not 100% certain how accurate this is...

I have a 11 told him that when I ordered it but I was already thinking that is what could have happen!!!Anyone have a hps can for a 11 and 12 to let me know what the difference is!!
Thanks Darren

The difference between the 11 and 12 HPS can is less than 1/4" difference in overall length. The reason the HPS can is about an inch longer than the stock one is to be able to get it tuned right it has to be that long. You will be fine running either can on either year sled. I have a 12 Pro and my HPS can is probably an 11 since I ordered it right away when I snowchecked my sled. The 12 can provides a little more clearance between the pipe and the A frame tube above the pipe. The little bit of exhaust donut showing will be fine. I did go through and bend the spring tabs a little more on the y pipe to put a little more spring pressure on the springs. Mine seals up fine and no leaks.

Do you guys re-run the rubber spacer that's on the stock can? It's meant to sit on the bottom where those two prongs are.

I don't run it on my MBRP can and it fits fine. If you don't run it you'll lose that 1/4" height.

Notice the same thing last year on my 11 Pro, it even made my pipe touch the frame on top and at the bumper support, I called Scott and sent pics to him, He said that their was nothing wrong, that was the way it would fit, I notice that the can sits even with the bottom of the sled, seems to me it would be easy to fix if the ring on the bottom of the can was to be moved up a little and let the can stick out about 1/4" under the sled, I ended up putting a small dent in the aluminum cover on pipe so it would not rattle.
Don't get me wrong I love my can, I have had them on my past 3 sleds and Scott did offer to refund my money if I was not happy.

HPS cans dont use the stock mounting pins like the mbrp can and stock can do.
