Interior BC had the best early season snowpack and building up to Christmas in recent few years. A little weird cause there's little/no snow in the valleys/towns/at lake level, but the mountains did well and there was lots of good riding. Now we are 3 weeks into the January dry-spell that seems to be quite predictable - there is a great base there for when it starts snowing again, which looks to be about a week out. If Feb and March produce good snowfall (which they often do), there is potential for some really good riding. That said - in town, the lack of snow is extremely rare, and a bit of a bummer for the kids to play in the yard, go tobogganing, etc. Also it's ugly to look at, and feels a little ominous for fire season if it stays the course. Guess we'll see!
