Hows Tampico II

Last sunday: No snow in the parking lot or across the bridge to middle fork up to the birm but all snow from the birm up! It was slush upto Whites ridge rd. still good snow from treephones up and better above clover flats. It snowed about 2" on sunday while I was up there. A friend of mine is going up tomorrow, after tonights 4-10" of new! So I will try to post something tomorrow afternoon.

Please do, I guess I figured the birm would be down by now and people would be driving to White Ridge or Tree-phones... not yet tho huh?

Well, my buddy and I went up to Tampico today.

As was said, the snow park is completely bare, folks were driving across the bridge to the small parking area close to the birm (which is still up) From the birm to Whites ridge is nasty... lotsa gravel spots and ice... had to stop to pack on snow on the way up. Whites ridge to Tree phones was ok, snow is getting pretty low, but was freshly groomed this morning to our surprise, scratchers were enough to keep us cool.

After we got up top we did some playing in the Super bowl for an hour (had first tracks) before moving on to some other places we like to play, the snow wasn't deep at the super bowl, but it was still fun and we were trenching pretty good in a few other favorite spots. About 60 miles in all by the time we got back to the rig... had first tracks on every hill we came to... awesome day all in all....

My friend did not go up fri. thats why i did not post anything.
I went up today and had a good time. I did not see anybody parked in the snowpark. I like everybody else parked right below the birm on middlefork. there is alot of dirt from the birm upto whitesridge road. All of the new snow was on the north and west facing slopes the south and east slopes were all wind blown. Clover flats and the meadows across the road were untouched and had some decent snow along with the hills above the cabin at clover flats. The superbowl was good, you could fly out of it, I don't recomend jumping off the larger cornices, i think i am an inch shorter now(it hurt!).
We need more snow!!!

hahaha, we stopped back by the super bowl on our way back down this afternoon and noticed that somebody had bailed off one of the cornices...

Personally, I like jumping up... got some killer air coming out the chute this morning and the top area was nice and soft to land in

But ya, a lot of stuff was just wind blown off... had to know where to look to find good stuff
