how young did you start your kids?

My kids started riding with us when they where 2 and 5. The youngest one had a real bad habit of falling a sleep. Now they are 8 and 12 and both of them ride 600s. I really wish there where more kid sleds out there. We are losing a ton of riders because of it.

First ride for the girls 2 years old and 4 years old. Didn't last long. But it was a first ride. This year we will be doing it with the new 18 month old and the now 3 year old and 5 year old. But I bought one of these

Equinox snow coach.

That's the ticket right there!
Started the older one at about 1, short rides, warm weather.
Bought a snow coach when the younger one came along. Started strapping him into the Sno coach at about 6 months. We could load that up with car seats, kid stuff, food etc and go out all day when they were babies and toddlers. They would nap a lot in the ' coach, ride squirrel for a while then back in the coach.
First started driving a M around the fields around 5-6 yrs old.
First solo ride was a 1980 Trail cat at age 8.
Now the boys, 9 and 12 have a 380 and a 550 and both can ride all day.
Hey snow mow, fwiw, the M sled makes a great tow rig. Got the Cat heavy duty trailer hitch for my wife's M7 and probably towed that coach 2000 mi with it, no issues.

Mine started when she was 2 or 3. I got really good at riding with one hand :)

my son went with me on his firsts ride about a year and a half. His helmet was so big he looked like the Martian off of Bugs Bunny. I had to ride one handed the whole time because his head would flop around if I didn't. It was a short ride.
When he was about 4 or 5 he fell asleep holding the mountain bar. I tried to pull him back and hold onto him. He woke up enough to pull himself right back into it. After that he rode with me all the time, up hills through trees off small jumps and everything.

I got him a kitty cat about 4 or 5. That first time running alongside him as he was riding it himself. He looked and me and had a huge grin and was yelling at me "Dad, Dad! I'm riding a snowmobile" That was more fun the anything I've ever done on a sled.

He's 18 now and my daughter is 15. Boy, do I get in trouble if I go riding without them.

Towed them around for miles in the trail rider, still have the little trailer, pretty good shape for its age after I rebuilt the frame.
He was nearly novice by this time on Phaser. Still have the sled, AND it still gets thrashed occasional. I remember the tow strap on the kitty cat so they would not get too far out and find a tree.:face-icon-small-sho

Got my son a ZR120 for his 2nd birthday. The wife rode it around the yard with him on it a few times. He will be 4 this Dec. hopefully he will be riding around himself some point this winter. He is excited and cant wait to ride it!

2-3yrs old started them out on a kitty cat then 120's then moved up to a 340 and a 488 now the boys are on a 500sks and a 700rmk and the daughter is still on the 120 but shes wanting to move up to the 340. Ive spent a lot of time riding 1 handed and holding on to a sleeping kid with the other.

started both my kids at 2yrs old, riding with me. Neither one could stay awake by mid day. Both of them were riding on there own at 6yrs old. Both started on a long track 340. Both of them progressed from the 340 to a 440, then a 550 liquid then a 600 liquid, all long tracks. My son was riding a pumped up 900 / 151 when he was 12 yrs old.

We all still ride together today and this year will be my granddaughter's first year...she just turned 2. She has been riding with us on the 4-wheelers all summer...in training for sledding season.

Oldest boy started just after he turned one. Twins went once last year for a short ride, they'll be two in a couple weeks.

Oldest is 4 now, and goes on every ride. Almost always falls asleep for a while, but he goes all day. Climbing, off-trail, whole 9 yards.
