How to tell if you have the 2010 updates

Does anyone know how to tell if the 2010 updates are installed?

#1 Visually without removing anything?

#2 Code flash? (I have a “service report” from the digital wrench software and it says “Software Part# 4012960)

Visually not that i know of. If you have any dealer run the VIN he can see if there is a service bulletin open on the sled.

The 2010 head where the spark plugs thread in is counter sunk is the easiest way to tell other than vin #

Any way to tell what code/flash is loaded? I have access to digital wrench.

UPDATE: Here's what I found out. The 800 has 3 injector colors (dots located on body of each injector) - Blue, red, Yellow. All injectors should be of the same color.

The 01-11-10 flash number = Blue 4013066 , Red 4013065 , Yellow 4013067

Original 2010 update flash = Blue 4012959 , Red 4012958 , Yellow 4012960

ECM has a sticker with injector color or if it has been replaced the color written on it and as far as I know no way of knowing which download other then vin#

The pistons are two ring pistons now. The software part # on your service report tells me that it has been reflashed to 2010 flash. This flash is not the most current flash but if the sled runs ok with no DET issues I would run that flash. I would be willing to bet that your sled got the 2010 update.

Your service report tells me that you have the 2010 update flash and you have the yellow coded injectors.
