How to remove the Speedometer on my 09 RMK 700 ?

Hi guys ! I am in the process soon of changing my speedometer. I tried searching the web for answers and even YouTube but there is no help around... Once I lift up the hood where do I go from there ? Thankx again guys !

Open the hood.

Remove the headlight access cover (#10, top dwg)... 8 screws (#7, top dwg) which is also the bottom of the air intake.

Carefully unplug the harness from the gauge. (there is a release tab)

remove the 3 screws (#2, lower dwg) that hold it in place.

All good info here. Pretty easy once you do it. There is a rubber boot cover over the wiring connector into the gauge you have to peel back a bit for access, and I think there are 2 release tabs on the connectors into the gauge if I recall correctly... pull that rubber back just far enough to get at it so it is not too bad to put back.

More fun stuff, if you can find the "kit" for altimeter sensor, and also an outside temp sensor... I bought an 06 900 harness with gauge a while back and ended up with both altimeter and temp sensor, but I had to rig up the wiring harness for the altimeter (there was a Polaris wiring harness kit to connect it up but I think it is discontinued). The temp sensor I never got around to rigging the wiring for it. You would buy complete kits for the 08+ sleds (08+ harness) at one point for each of these sensors...

Ok awesome ! Thank for letting me know ! I already got the temp sensor ! It gives me my temp when I press on the Mode switch ! I usually let it heat up to around 68 before I start moving it ! Thanks again ! :)

I actually meant ambient (outside) air temp sensor, if you are talking about the big temp on the gauge that is the engine coolant temp, and I would recommend getting it up to 110-120 before riding...
