How to guess mileage?

I am not trying to hog up this forum, but if you saw my other thread the speedo cable was broke on my 05 King Cat EFI, the sled and owner said 1200 miles!! Can I check compression or any other sign of higher mileage?? Thanks

Stock Skis? stock track? the motors are historically bullet proof. I wouldnt worry about anything but changing hte drive shaft bearings and chain.

Notorious chain killers and the speedo quit working is a sign the drive shaft bearing is about dead or is dead. they are a bit of work to replace but go to a bearing stor and get a 100RRB for around $15. (check them all)
