An eraser will clean corrosion off electrical pads pretty well too. We use that on refurb units to get them through test here at work.

Had a huge collection. One thing that worked pretty well was distilled water on a Q tip and scrub scrub scrub the cartridge contacts. Use fresh Q tips until they quit turning black.

A new connector pin in the machine really helps. Easy to install.

Sold my entire collection on the bay a few years ago. Was shocked at how much some of the cartridges would bring.

after 20 years, and being half corked, my buddy still remembered that code first try like it was yesterday, but it only gave us 20 continues each on contra, and I needed them all, its a pretty tough game.

Anyways thanks guys for the suggestions, I got it working by taking the cart apart with a special bit, and polished the copper contacts with weimans cooktop cleaner, it came out like brand new, then with a little bending of the pins inside the machine, it worked perfect so thanks again! I was suprised at how much fun it still was, might have to break it out a little more often now
