how not to counter-steer/powder turn.

That sucks, I broke mine in the same place. My break was mostly straight across the bone. I was out for 7 weeks and got my 1st ride on sat. I still shouldn't be riding.

How'd you do yours? Could you still move your toes and stuff? Outside of the break, the rest of my foot was working fine.

a quick update. ... Hello Surgery! Getting a plate put in my leg on monday to re-connect my fib.... 12 weeks till I can get back out there...
..(hope we have a late season!)...

LMAO?
did the doc kiss you on the neck before he pulled of your boot!
a good stiff set of snow board boots will also help next time.
and if you need more keyboard fun try a 4s v 2s thread.:light:
get better and go for a spring ride:beer;

Ya, she did.. She slipped me a little tongue.. I was wearing Burton hails, I don't think snowboard boots get any stiffer then that.. heh.. gas'd track vs snowboard boot = track ;)

They have these "work boots" that they use at the my job, they are like ski boots hard plastic shell but flexible, and comfortable I think I'm gonna try a set of those.

a buddy of mine was out riding couple of weeks ago..come across a bunch of guys on the side of a hill surrounding a cat...guy lost his footing and his foot got sucked to the front of the tunnel between the track and tunnel..after unbolting the suspension they slid him out...was unhurt..he was wearing HMK pro boa's...I had just bought mine a week earlier and this bud had given me a hard time about it,, he has since bought them as well...

Thanks I'll check those out do they have a hard shell, or are they just like heavy duty snowboard boots?

its not quite as stiff as a plastic boot.but they have loads of support..took 3 days of wearing them before they got comfy, but man are they comfy once you do...I don't like how big they are(like white bunny boots) but they are lighter and more nimble...

Just about bust my left ankle this weekend hit a hill a little hard ended up getting about 10' air according to buddies ended up bailing out and landing wrong on my ankle x-ray's said just bad bad sprain bought klim radium boots next day

Wore a set of Klim's last year busted my foot when I got caught flying past a tree out of control. But is was only the foot not the ankle those stiff boot's
saved a season of riding. I would cry like a baby when I put the boot on or off but I could still ride.
The stiff sledding boots are worth there weight in gold.

Hope you heal up quick for the spring rides.

Well, because he can't. :face-icon-small-coo

As for the 2nd... I'm guessing you're referring the break being masked by the tibia? Not sure what you meant...

Well actually the break isn't so much covered, just can't see it with the bones rolled that way.

For the first part, oh he can. Let's just say his x-ray tech was a lazy ace, or our fellow snowester was a puss. I'm going with lazy tech. By flexing the foot up, the ankle joint can be more cleary seen
